5 free soccer games to try on Meta Quest

Free soccer on Meta Quest has grown beyond quick penalty shots. These five games put you on the pitch for competitive multiplayer, social kickabouts, mixed reality tactics and solo challenges.

1. VRFS - Football (Soccer) Simulator

VRFS - Football (Soccer) Simulator is the obvious first download if you want competitive multiplayer football rather than a collection of shooting drills. It is built around physics-driven ball control, passing, curved shots and online matches, so it is the closest thing here to stepping into a proper match.

It is still a game in development, so do not expect a polished licensed-football package. But if you want to practise your touch, mess around in free play or find people who take virtual football way too seriously, this is the one to start with.

2. Motion Soccer

Motion Soccer is more ambitious than just being another VR match game. You can play in first person, manage from the sideline, or take the whistle and referee the match yourself. The mixed reality tactical view is the fun bit: put a small pitch into your real room, move things around and react to the game from above.

Released in 2025, it is a good fit if you like the strategy of football management but still want to stand on the pitch yourself. Switching between player, coach and referee gives it a more varied VR match-day feel than most.

3. We Are Soccer

We Are Soccer is for the people who mostly want to hang out, kick a ball around and turn a nice move into a clip. It is a multiplayer soccer park with 1v1, team games from 2v2 up to 5v5, player customisation and a more social feel than a serious simulator.

Grab friends if you can: its small-team matches and social spaces make it a better fit for a regular kickabout than a serious solo session.

4. Final Soccer

Final Soccer is the older, stranger option from Ivanovich Games. There is a simulator mode built around captured player movements and a big level run, but there is also an arcade mode with power-ups, slow motion and giant gloves. It even has a VR-versus-mobile mode where friends can take penalty shots from their phones.

If you want solo challenges and a less serious spin on football rather than pure online competition, it is free and worth a try. The VR-versus-mobile penalty mode is also a fun excuse to rope in friends who do not own a headset.

5. VSS - Virtual Sports Soccer

VSS - Virtual Sports Soccer only arrived in early access in June 2026, so this is a watchlist pick rather than a proven favourite. It is pitching realistic football physics, 1v1 competition, ranked play, tournaments, customisation and eventually larger prize-pool events.

Because it is still early access, expect the game to evolve. The competitive angle is clear, though: it is the one to watch if you want to find a new VR football community before the usual habits and rivalries settle in.

More Quest football games

There are more football games in the AltLab Football category, including training games and a few more experimental picks. If I missed the game you actually play every week, tell me. I am curious how much room there is for a proper Quest football classic.
