Yuki is so perfect, my friends miss me

This is a MUST buy. I cannot say enough about this game. I am a huge fan of everything that Arvore puts out, but they have really ramped up the fun in Yuki. Warning: Yuki is addicting. Fast-paced. Challenging and oh so satisfying. GAME TESTED | I was lucky enough to be a game tester on this game and every iteration just kept getting better and better. They put a lot of time and love to create a game in which you control Yuki through runs. You start off weak but you collect creative drive and that means bigger guns & longer runs. INCREDIBLE VISUALS | It is visually stunning. Once you buy it you will know what I mean. KILLER SOUNDTRACK | The music is made all in-house and they nailed it. This is one of those titles that you play enough that if the sound wasn't great it would really impact the experience negatively. OVERALL | I cannot put this game down, I love games where you can upgrade your avatar and become stronger and stronger and yet still be challenged. You all should buy this game. 100% recommend it and am excited to hear what you all think as well.

Great VR SHMUP for Bullet Hell fans

I've been playing bullet hell shooters since the 90s with games like Ikaruga, DoDonPachi and many more. This adaptation of these type of games into VR is pretty fantastic. I was initially skeptical about the 3rd person, moving your hand around play-style, thinking it would be lame or easy but it's certainly not. It kind-of reminds me of playing a FPS game where everyone is shooting at your gun. It works really well actually and this is a difficult game with manic bullet waves and patterns that classic fans of bullet hell games will appreciate. Like most bullet hell games your hit-box is smaller than your character, seemingly with the YUKI logo on the back of Yuki's jacket being the hit-box on this game, and you've really gotta thread the needle and take advantage of 3D movement to get through. The game also looks really freakin great and more detailed than many other games. I'm definitely going to be putting a good deal more time into this game and look forward to seeing possible future updates and additions. I'd love to see a co-op mode like many older SHMUPS have.

Great addictive game

As an older quest 2 user who grew up in the arcade era, shmup’s were always my go to games. With that said, yuki surprised me. My first thought upon seeing it listed, and without knowing anything about it, was “why would i want to play with dolls in vr?”. I was very wrong. What an exciting way to convert an old style shmup into something new! This bullet hell shooter can get very tense dodging bullets while weaving around and through objects all while trying to destroy the enemy. Boss battles are fun and have paterns to memorize in order to beat them. Upgrades provide objects which follow you and provide different shooting options from missiles to homing bullets that stack and make you feel more powerful. All in all, i hope to see more shmups on the quest 2 after seeing how there is still life in this game type.

Do Not Hesitate! Relive Your Childhood!

I was very interested in exploring a VR bullet hell game and found out about this title several months back. Initially, I wanted the game but saw reviews stating it was very linear, repetitive, and not replayable. Replayability is a big factor for my purchases because I want to be able to come back and try new things, which I believe Yuki offers. After seeing it on sale a few more times, I decided to buy it and it has been pretty interesting! I have not finished a complete run in the campaign mode so this game might have rogue-lite qualities. You can keep replaying and each run will change in mapping and enemy generation. The concept of the game us very interesting. You use Yuki, which is like an action figure which you control with the goal of shooting enemies and dodging enemy projectiles. On my first run-through, the game felt very easy as I was heading towards the last boss. When I lost and went to purchase upgrades, the difficulty increased and it became more enjoyable. The game might not have a great deal of depth though there are many qualities of this game that feel very arcade like, so you would want to hit it up every now and then! The environment is visually appealing and so is the music. The level designs become excruciatingly difficult and the concept of power-ups and collecting orbs to grow stronger makes it feel like you're a kid flying an action figure and fighting off villains.

I love this game! Almost perfect!

Please partner with CLAMP and make Battle Doll Angelic Layer and/or Cardcaptor Sakura come to life in VR! Yuki reminds me so much of Angelic Layer, and the tech is finally here to pull it off! Review time: as far as this game goes, it’s an immersive forward flight through a storm of bullets; a classic scroller, but head-on. Simple to master the concept and gameplay, but still challenging and rewarding to play. You hold your action figure (Yuki) and Pod (an invincible support you can use to grab power-ups) and fly through having Yuki shoot and dodge baddies. The scenes progress, but there’s variety in what obstacles get thrown at you each time. When you do get defeated, your points can be used to unlock permanent upgrades (more health, rate of fire, seeker rounds, etc) so you’ll have a slightly easier time the next go. The visuals are great, but the modeling and movements of Yuki are truly breathtaking and make me want this developer to tackle Angelic Layer all the more... Buy it and enjoy! A couple things could make it even better: Please add save points after each stage. Nothing like slogging through a boss after a couple levels then getting taken out or needing a break and then starting the game over from the beginning. Meh. At least make it an option- also this would help people with limited time who can’t live in VR… Please add the ability to select from multiple profiles so different people in a family can play. I’m really looking forward to see what comes next in improvements and content! Thanks for a great game in Yuki!
