UNDERLIE uses advanced techniques based specifically on the tech of the Meta Quest 3. It uses the Quest 3's geometric room scan tech to build a fully-textured mesh in the shape of your room(s). It also takes advantage of the Quest 3's real-time "dynamic occlusion" to further blend the real and virtual worlds.
Play in a single room--or transform an entire floor of your home! UNDERLIE can now combine multiple room scans to generate an even larger play area. (Rooms should be on the same level, no playing across multiple stories.)
A doorway along the outer boundary of your play area can let the game add "rooms" that you can see and shoot into BEYOND your physical play area.

So I got this like, a couple minutes ago and did a few testing, my sister and I, she ripped the headset off her head and almost flung it 😂😂. Well, thats how believable the meshes are. One thing though is that at a point, a skull was clipping with the mesh and was seemingly stuck, spent a few ammo on it but it didnt budge, alssooo, hold onnnn!!, did you make doors even when closed accessible to the monsters? Boy, I saw my door open and skulls came through lmao

I really like this concept. This game turns my home into a dark dimension and I love it! I was able to scan most of my single-story home- all the rooms I wanted to play in, but I ended up playing in just one small room the entire time. There isn't a tutorial for how the weapon operates so that took me a while to figure out how it charges and saves ammo. The game is a bit too hard to stay alive long enough to enjoy the game. When I'm out of ammo, I tried to hit the skulls with the gun but I seem to still take health damage. The game starts out with a story narration but I don't understand how it ties into the game. It was the comment, "do you see anything yet?" that made me realize I should walk around. Again, there is nothing in the game that explains how to play. You just jump right in and have to figure it out. You'll just die a lot until you figure it out. I love how this game looks and am rating this based on its potential. Please continue to develop. Update your website and add social media links, especially Discord for players and potential players to discuss and stay up-to-date with updates. Great job!

Underlie has a lot of potential, but is extremely hard to keep you alive for more than a few minutes, and easy to find some bugs with monsters pathfinding. With some more polish this game could be awesome, and that's why I keep 5 star rating. Hope you keep working on this. Edit: Just tried 1.65 update and it's good, but I still miss something that keeps me hooked for more than 10 minutes. Maybe an option to unlock an elevator after killing some monsters, to descent to new floors, would be a way to expand the game, and give to the player some sense of moving forward. Underlie is an amazing experience, but it needs something more to keep players engaged. Hope you get to that point.

I bought the game on sale, I really liked that it turns my house into hell, the design is very beautiful. I have a hard time playing this game, I just can't do it. I play and die within a minute, I can't progress, and it depresses me . I'm not lowering the rating because I believe you will improve the game. Please add difficulty levels and make a "very easy" mode for people like me who want to play for more than a minute. Edit: Hi, Sorry for the delay.... I gave the game another chance after the update. When I switched to the easier level I finally saw new and scary creatures :) Congratulations on the design, the design is one of the basic reasons I love the game.
