There's nothing else like it

Being able to hold a natural conversation with NPC's and having them react realistically to what you say is nothing short of magical, and must have taken an immense effort to get working well. At some point in the future it might feel normal for players to naturally talk to NPCs in any game, but its games like this that are laying the foundation now to get there. Super impressive!

Great POC, lacks replayability

It's a great experience and I want more of those kinds of interactions, with less rails than here. There's just a single mission which can be achieved in 2-3 hours, and then your only option to continue playing is to make a new save, with you having to do the same thing again like in a Groundhog day where you already know the NPCs and their personalities. Talks aren't fully free form since characters will want to steer you back at scripted quests and won't engage much in random topics that you float. If it would have less rails and NPCs would have more world knowledge (they can't even explain how their world works and have very flat personalities), it would be something where you can sink hours just talking about stuff.

WHATTTT?

Bought this yesterday. The whole family sits around watching each other interact with this game. My 10yo daughter ran home from school to get Cafe time. She is now telling James about a exploding space centepede that messes up robot circuits and he seems seriously concerned about it. Now she's asking about what is on the TV in the background and he's talking about it in real-time. And she ordered a orange juice with whipped cream and chocolate and he made it. We're just absolutely stunned. This game is like YEARS into the future. I love that it is safe for kids, with no IRL idiots running around cursing and bullying. I feel like it could help her with her ADHD because she really has to pay attention to the conversation and interact in real ways like an actual human except that they are patient and interested in everything she says (the podcaster is asking her what middle school is like)

Really fun AI

what a unique, fun game. just hand tracking and your voice, conversing with different NPC personalities in a cafe. They are really good at understanding your questions / requests. Just very good AI ! There are also interactable objects on every table in the cafe so you can like fiddle with stuff while talking. 5/5. perfect game for VR. Also, I wonder; is the AI run locally on the headset, or streamed from a server?

Okay as someone who was super skeptical about this game on reveal after spending 4 hours playing through it I gotta say it just works. and it's amazing. Yes the ai will mess up but very rarely (misheard words or the voice being different) but it just feels so natural, I had genuine bonds with some of these robots, it really feels like you can just say anything, and you can just talk to the robots for hours without doing any of the tasks If you want, I love it. (Though not a fan of the robot that constantly said slang)
