Avoid for now! Full of bugs

I don’t write reviews like this lightly, but wait for another couple updates. My review is now posted on my YouTube channel ‘Gotcha VR’ I’ve never felt so frustrated with a game! It started off well, but I fell down a hole before collecting a badge I think and I couldn’t get passed the cargo area on floor 3, I can’t get back to floor 2 to get the badge, so I got stuck, I had to start the game all over again after 2 hours of playing. On my second attempt, I just got hit with tons of bugs, my gun wouldn’t shoot the target, I restarted, then my hands wouldn’t grip the panel to pull it off to recharge the gun, I restarted, then I made an injection and it wouldn’t let go of it and put it in the a pack, I restarted, then the same happened but I was able to move on, that was until I met the captain and had to use 2 hands to mind meld with her, but my hand wouldn’t let attach to her head because it wouldn’t let go of the injection, so I gave up and tried requesting a refund, of course I was denied because I’d played longer than 2 hours trying to put up with the bugs.

Just WOW!

This came out of nowhere but it's great! Visually one of the prettiest game for quest 3 and still no loading screen! Stealth and generally gameplay is so much fun! But first of all - narration is mind-blowing :o no spoilers but... just play :)

If you like Star Trek, I recommend

I’ve genuinely been enjoying this game. I am an All Trek fan though. If you’re a Star Trek fan, especially one who’s ever wanted to be inside the world and not just watch it, I’d recommend giving this a shot. What stands out most to me is the immersion. Being able to walk the corridors, interact with the environment, use tools like the tricorder with authentic sounds…it all adds up. It’s something I’ve wanted for years. Bridge Crew gave us the bridge, but this lets you experience the rest of the ship, and that alone makes it special. The Captain’s Logs and environmental storytelling also do a lot to make it feel like you’re stepping into an unfolding episode rather than just playing through missions. Now, to be fair, the game did launch with some issues. Performance hiccups and a few rough edges were definitely noticeable. But even with those, I was still having fun. And more importantly, the dev team moved quickly to release a hotfix, now the experience is noticeably smoother and more enjoyable. What I appreciate is that this feels like a foundation, not a one-off. Or at least that’s what I hope. Either way, there’s real potential here for continued development: more episodes, expanded systems, deeper immersion. If that happens, this could grow into something even more special for Trek fans and VR in general. At the end of the day, I’m not going to knock one of the very few Star Trek VR experiences we have especially when it’s clear there’s care, effort, and responsiveness behind it. I appreciate the details and respect the craft. Looking forward to what’s next. LLAP 🖖🏿

Heavily story driven but lacks horror

Visually it’s just okay and so far, I’m not getting that whole horror and sneaking around experience. Yes it has a creepy atmosphere, the blood and infection spread, dead bodies, and the occasional dead infected that suddenly has a spasm. However, I was able to walk straight up around an infected and it didn’t do anything. Not till a failed attempt of using the vulkan technique did it suddenly turn around and attacked me. Initially, the game felt action packed and full of events and narrative. But once you get into the actual infected part of the story it feels like it slammed the breaks. idk it just feels like it’s lacking substance. The objectives do keep me busy but I was hoping more of dodging or sneaky by a lot of infecteds while doing so. The interrogation part and just the overall sequence of events are a. It confusing. Will say the narrating and and the amount of interactions is well done.

Fan of franchise

Purchased on a whim and after playing it for a few minutes, was going to return it but decided to sleep on it before I did. Boy am I glad I did as playing it the next day changed my opinion and I actually started to enjoy the gameplay. Yes: controls take a bit of getting used but the game does grow on you just give it time.
