A Polished, Educational, Fun Challenge

Tldr: 9 fantastic recipes, 3 distinct cultures and eras. This game has you cooking with in-depth techniques, shortened to be fun, with historical tidbits sprinkled in for good measure! If, like me, you prefer cooking to relax and enjoy pleasure versus rushing for perfection, this is the cooking game for you! Graphics are amazing and dreamy, the kitchen is clean, robust and everything is clearly discernible! I love the ghosts and the panoramas outside the windows! Even menus have love put into them with patterns and graphics matching eras. Gameplay is fantastic. I expected a polished experience and I got it. The only thing I dislike is not having free movement, either I can cling and climb 2 my way around or teleport, I wish it had free movement on the left stick. Teleporting makes me sick and disorients me and grabbing counters to move I tip things, so I teleport :). Regardless the teleport system is done well with a destination in front of every counter position, and you can still just move around if in a big play space (like I do). Sound is amazing. I love the music, sound effects and the top quality voice acting. I really in particular love the Greek kitchen. All the sounds fit perfectly, did I mention how much love they put into this piece of art? For someone like me who can cook the same in depth meals for years in real life, you know you will enjoy it if you get hungry and giggle watching the trailer. But know this, there are only 9 recipes but they are very in-depth. You do not have a timer but are rated across 4 categories out of 5 stars. I have not beat the game though if rushed it would be under 3 hours easy. This is a game but also educational, the reward is knowing I will not mess up the next time I make Souvlaki in real life ;) and i have a safe, fun place to practice. To conclude, if you want a polished, bug free experience that I wish will have DLC (but probably will not), that is not just a fun game, but an example of how education can be fun AND engaging, pick this gem up. As a student of Sociology for life, this truly is something special.

Great game, but.....

I absolutely play this every day! I have to keep deleting my save because I already completed all the recipes. I really want an update with more recipes to make that would be awesome. I can complete the whole game in about an hour. Please ADD more!!!

Nice but I am hungry for more!

I love this game! It's detailed, immersive, and fun, with diverse cultures, foods, and guided recipes. The narrators are great, and the environments are beautiful. However, after mastering the 9 initial recipes, the game feels short. I’d love more recipes and a feature where I can experiment with all the ingredients in a kitchen. I'm excited for the promised updates—when can we expect more content?

Amazing but could be a lot better

This haves to be one the most satisfying and fun games you can get in the oculus store, but if they would make an update adding a free cook mode we’re all ingredients and tools from that era are available and then the ghost judges whatever food you make based on how well it is cooked, how well the flavors come together, and what ingredients there are. That’s why I think that it is an amazing game and they don’t need to work on 15 more level, but instead just work on a sandbox mode.

Amazing Game. NEEDS MORE RECIPES!!

Great game, but do wish they would update it with more locations and recipes. So much that could be added to make this even more amazing. Free play mode would also be awesome! I hope the developers listen to us and choose to add on to this game.
