This is the future of documentaries. We are transported in history in a totally unique way. TARGO team is brillant. I enjoyed every minute and want more experiences like that. It definitely worth the money. I highly recommend it to anyone.

We’ve all probably heard about JFK’s assassination, seen bits of archive footages in various documentaries here and there, but this is…different! They put you right there on the sidewalk as the Kennedys motorcade passes by, at the vantage point of the shooter in a surprising mix of re-situated footages and pictures through a recreated Dallas. It is truly immersive and tense. As we follow the events before and after the assassination through the eyes of multiple viewpoints (a journalist, an onlooker at the motorcade, a police investigator and more) I got a spatial and temporal understanding of that event that was captivating and chilling. They need to make more of these !

JFK Memento won the Auggie at the 2024 Augmented World Expo for Best Art or Film, and deservedly so - it is spectacular!!! The concept of taking archival photographs and footage, then placing them in a 3D render of the spaces where everything happened is phenomenal, and beautifully executed here to boot. As soon as I finished watching JFK Memento I had my husband and son watch it, and even though they're not huge VR fans, they both loved the experience. Our dinner conversation that night was thinking of other world events we'd like to see depicted this way. The US Capitol on January 6? D-Day? The tragedy on Mount Everest recounted in Jon Krakauer's book Into Thin Air? Anything where seeing a spatial reconstruction of events deepens your understanding of how things went down would be a candidate. (Surely there are happy events that would make good spatial storytelling, too!) Bravo to the TARGO team that built this - I'm eager to see everything they do in the future! But I do have one question, which another reviewer also mentioned - why on earth is this relegated to the AppLab? Put this baby front and center - this is how you show newbies how wonderful VR can be.

Just finished this experience - And it is an "experience" in the clever way they have incorporated archival footage into a virtual render of key locations. You almost feel like you are there to witness the tragic events unfold. This is THE way to watch documentaries from now on. You get a perfect sense of how it all happened, the locations it happened in and the scale of everything as well. I only wish it had of been longer. This kind of content is going to revolutionize learning in the classroom. Well done to everyone in the TARGO team.

For being in VR and having the ability to show the shooting in full 3d they somehow totally avoided doing this. If you want to see interviews with no new or interesting information in vr, this is for you. There was no reason for this being in VR. I felt it was a big waste of time and money. Most dissapointing quest app purchase i've made
