Freaking Awesome! Play at your pace.

I am giving this title five stars. Not because it is without its flaws because. It does have its share of bugs and glitches. However, I have had such a blast playing this game that I can't give it anything less. I say this because I have been able to get my family involved in this game. Now, I am 55 years old. The family of which I speak is all older than me. I have been playing with two sisters both over 60 years old and my 84-year-old mother. My mother has macular degeneration and a huge blind spot in her vision. So it takes her some time in VR especially to find things that she's looking for. She has to work at it. We have been able to tackle the missions and the resource runs at her pace. I have been allowed to experience my mother enjoying this atmosphere and help her through finding the resources and collecting all the goodies. I have experienced the joy of hearing her get tickled at getting a few kills during a mission or being able to harvest a particularly difficult resource. It helps that the environments are stunning, the motion is smooth and the story is very entertaining. To the devs I would just like to say there are some glitches that need to be addressed. But thank you for giving me and my family the opportunity to go Into Black!

Seriously Good

(Played on Quest 3) I recently finished the campaign mode and felt I had to write a review simply because of how much fun I had with this. It's seriously good on so many levels. No, it doesn't have killer graphics (elements rage from serviceable to pretty good), but what's there, combined with the high quality in sound design, music, interaction mechanics, variety of options, and sheer immersive joyful play pushes this to 5 stars. Movement is intuitive and smooth; switching tools and weapons and using each is smooth and logical and unlocks the chance to develop your own playstyles and solutions; and the verticality of later levels, the amount of jumping, climbing, fighting, mining, problem solving... honestly, it's a very complete package. If the devs ever do a sequel someday (ideally with massively ramped-up visuals - shock us!), it'd be a day-one purchase for me. Note: there are some issues - aliens clipping into walls, some scenery/minables vanishing, etc. but given how good the game consistently is, and how much sheer fun I was having they were a very minor momentary annoyance at most. Special mention for the voice actor who plays Jonathan - I actually wondered if Matt Berry (Stephen Toast) was voicing it; it's a d@mn fine impersonation of him and adds just enough humor to the mix without being heavy-handed. 5/5 (with a quarter point off for graphics, but that's more a hardware limitation, assuming they needed this to be playable on Quest 2 also).

Beautiful and entertaining

This game is an excellent value. The gameplay and narrative are terrific and the immersion is extremely fun. I feel like this is a good model of how more inexpensive games, so maybe games that are produced on a lower budget(?) Should be done. It's an excellent example of a developer taking basic resources and creating something exceptional.

Best Game on Meta

I nearly withheld a star just to beg the creators for more information, plans for the future. My friends and I are obsessed with this game, taking over Dungeons of Eternity as our go to game to play--that said, it's really hard to find much information about the game. I think content creators reviewed it harshly and moved on. It has clearly fixed a lot of what was 'bugging' it to start and is epic on all fronts from graphics, physics, to game play. Buuuuuuut I'm greedy always looking ahead and wanting more. Will there be more updates, more content. Is there a place to find a community around this game? Thanks for a great play regardless

DRGVR!!

If you played deep rock galactic and looking for a similar experience, this is it. It has darkness, mining and guns. Best played with friends. Definitely has a lot going on for it and will be playing this for a while. ROCK AND STONE BROTHERS!!
