IE Climate Change VR: Eye In the Storm

Eye in the Storm is an immersive virtual-reality experience that places the participant in the path of an oncoming storm. The experience takes place inside a house, where the participant will engage with interactive elements as part of an emotional storyline. This simulation ultimately aims to showcase the ongoing, unprecedented impact that climate change has on various communities. This simulation also serves as an introduction to a role-playing activity, in which participants will learn about key stakeholders in the climate change conversation and engage in a class discussion aimed at understanding the importance of collaboration when it comes to adapting to and mitigating the effects of climate change. This material was developed by Professor Isabela del Alcázar, Global Head of Sustainability at IE University; Gonzalo Delacámara, Director of the Center for Water and Climate Adaptation; and the Department of Publishing and Online Solutions at IE.
