Love this game (honest review)

I’ve had espire 2 for a little over a year maybe 2 now and never really played single player campaign but I played the first level of single player and realized this game is amazing and might be one of if not the best stealth vr games of all time I’d love to see an espire 3 and the devs need to keep up this amazing work 👍🏽

Great potential but quite janky

the game looks fantastic and you can see a lot of work has gone into it. I love the heavy feeling of the movement. couldn't really progress through the opening section, it really wasn't overly clear what was happening, was also very long and couldn't skip through the dialogue. I got stuck first trying pull a lever, I tried for ages but it would not grab and the camera was going crazy. Got stuck the second time when I needed to grab a gun off the floor from an enemy. movement was frozen and I was told to grab the weapon from the floor, tried for ages and the weapon would not come towards me. I would really like to play the game but I don't want to go through the whole opening section again.

It was so fun playing in mixed reality.

I had a very fun experience with this game, playing in vr and mr. I will say however there i many things to remember when it comes to the game. So if you're looking for a straight forward shooter type. This isn't it! The game really uses everything at its disposal such as being able to talk to ennemis, sneaking, using sleep darts, making the player choose how to approach a situation, hiding bodies, avoiding lasers, it has a lot more combat options than for eg: a standard cod game. The feature to actually talk to your ennemi is something I have never experienced in a video game before. With that being said, I do hope one day we can get pvp, where you can have players online join you for co op mission inside your house. aditionally it would be cool if Aspire 2 in the future could use a mix of vr and MR such as you start into your house but then you play with a friend and you are able to go around his living space and shoot enemies. I would love to see for mr missions that make you go into a portal that enter into a vr side mission or something! Overall thank you for this amazing game and hope to see a lot more update in the future.

Great concept, but rough around the edge

This is a good game with the clever mechanic of being able to climb around the map. -Compared to the original, it offers more diverse environments and an easier way to lure enemies with voice devices/talking. -The repair device and tranquilizer being built into the wrist is also a good improvement. -Repair device energy is somewhat finite, which is a good balance. Still, I really didn’t need felt like I was going to run out. -Weapon controls were also made a bit more realistic. You can now actually change magazines. -Weapons seem to have a bit more variety in stats, but I rarely felt I needed a specific weapon. -They also added a different robot unit for a bit more variety. However, I still think there are some areas where the game falls flat. - For starters, they removed the adjustable belt/holsters, which was a nice accessibility feature to have. -Holster hitboxes are still kind of clunky. I would end up grabbing something I didn’t want because how closer everything is. I think a solution would be to either have a back holster for a weapon or the ammo (like Half Life). -Hitboxes on the weapons themselves are also weird, and I would end up grabbing a magazine when trying to grab the front handle. Pumping the shotgun was also VERY finicky. -Having a new robot is nice, but it almost felt useless because on some missions it would force you to switch to the first type. Also, having the wrist weapon slot be fixed to the type of robot kind of discouraged my use of the second type. I like the concept, I just think it was underutilized and somewhat unnecessary when considering the other buffs. Overall, about a 7/10 game. Fun to play through once or twice and then go to the bonus content (the Augmented Reality mode was cool). The formula just needs a bit more refinement. It’s just a short, fun and easy experience all the way through.

W stealth game

The single player campaign is fun so far. In this game stealth is optional but is recommended, so if you plan on being a deadly assassin in this game, you should probably reconsider. Stealth feels really nice and makes you feel like a real spy. This game is definitely worth the money. My only complaint is that the multiplayer mode is dead and the only people that join me are primitive apes that haven’t played the tutorial and aren’t on voice chat. Update: the campaign is still really good, but it gets way too hard to sneak around after the first few levels. One of my main problems is how dying works. Rather than resetting everything, it just sends you back to the nearest checkpoint, which can lead to enemies being stuck in doorways and other annoyances. My other complaint is the end of mission briefing, it makes it where you have to not be risky and not try things out. I also wish killing enemies weren’t discouraged and instead being spotted and damaged enemies gets you a lower rank. Last thing is that instead of just respawning you should go back to your last save so any of the damage that you received to you and your rank.
