(Note to the devs at the bottom.) Let me preface my review with, 5 stars yes, but let me warn you before spend your money. If you do not like more simple games or repeating the same type of task (Like power washing simulator, thief simulator, or Farming simulator), YOU WILL NOT LIKE THIS GAME!! BUT! If that's not a problem, this might just be my favorite vr game of all time and it could be yours too! I’ll try to seperate my review into sections (And YES there is multiplayer, but read on first) Controls: Some people have issues with the realism and difficulty of controlling the excavators, but I personally love it. If in the tutorial, you read what you are told and move slowly, you can easily master the movement. The gameplay: There isn’t much to say that’s truly remarkable about the gameplay, but that’s the fun part. It makes you feel like you’re just an excavator driver. You dig trenches and holes, smash rocks with a jackhammer, saw trees down with a saw blade, trim hedges and foliage, and move cargo and junk with a claw. So NO! It’s not all digging!! It’s very peaceful to play when you want to waste time or just relax in some heavy machinery. The levels are also pretty funny (not in practice but in the reasons why you’re there). Replayability: This is spot on with three modes to choose from. Zen is easy, ungraded, with no mistakes affecting you. Graded is the normal, try to be careful but still simple mode. And Time Trial is a… well time trial. All three modes are available for every level I’ve seen so far in my play through. This lets you try every level at least 3 times in different ways, plus you can always go back to previous levels if you want to do them again. Entertainment and World: I relate it to Powerwashing Simulator a lot based on how it works. You pick a job, start the excavator, finish the tasks specified, and you're done. Same thing as Powerwashing sim where you select a job, clean, and done. Yea, it can be a bit monotonous, but what do you expect? It’s a game about driving an excavator! Also, it has funny messages, world story, and thematic elements all around the place just the same way as Powerwashing sim, if not better! The art is amazing and the music is even better. There’s like 9 radio stations in the digger with their own rotation of custom songs (mostly about digging lol) and In world advertisements that play periodically (no real ads, just jokes). My personal favorites choice is DigFM. Extras: You can put on a hardhat in your warehouse and wear it into levels! You can play mini games like bowling or hook-a-duck with the digger! You can customize the individual sections of your digger with paint, skins, and decals in the warehouse! CONS or My problems with the game…: I don’t have much here, but the damage system or grading system is a bit ehh.. I bumped into a grass hedge on the edge of the level with the arm and got points off? Not major but a bit stringent. Progression is a little slow. Not unbearable, but it does take a while before you get the other, larger excavators. To the devs!!: First of all, great job on a great game! I’ve already got my friend to get it too for multiplayer, but this brings up a couple of suggestions. 1: Multiplayer. Yes, there IS multiplayer, but you can only play with friends you can invite from the meta menu. If I had to change this, I’d say maybe add some sort of online hub where other people could join in larger public sandboxes or possibly actual multiplayer jobs? 2: Content. The game already has some Preem stuff, but possibly adding more vehicles that ran on the same system (Backhoe, SkidSteer, Cargo Crane) could really bring in more people! But I do also get why because the game is specifically “DIG vr”. Also, maybe some more customization like a bobble head in the cab, or the ability to customize the warehouse a bit? 3: Cleaning! Some people might hate this one, but, you already have the cleaning tools in the warehouse. Maybe after a couple of missions, dirt will build up, and you can optionally clean it off? Just a bit more realism that could be fun. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Neat Little Gem

I used to operate a backhoe for my business and this takes me back to those days. Trying to get the fluidity back working the controls and it is so much fun. The jobs are a blast to work, watching out for obstacles adds realism and enjoyment in completion. Just getting started and i find myself wanting to get back in to go to work when i actually get home from work. So much fun!

Team Cow Digger

Dig VR is a refreshing addition to the world of VR simulator games. So much fun with humour when you wouldn’t expect it. This game ticks so many boxes - it’s very entertaining and very enjoyable in a swivel chair. I love that you can customise your digger with paint and pattern combos and decals. Team cow!

The game you wanted as a child

Fr tho best game 10/10, I grew up loving excavators, and bulldozers this is a game where you can do most of it. I wish I had all this when I was 8. A pled for the devs make a game that adds more gigantic machines.🙏🏽

Great game 🔥

If you want to feel like an excavator operator, this game is for you and not only you. DigVR is a quite relaxing and soothing game. We sit comfortably in an armchair, start the game and operate excavators in career mode. Operating the excavator is simple but requires a little practice because the levers are operated only with the wrists. Great mechanics, to be honest. In addition, we have multiplayer and we can play with friends, e.g. bowling. I recommend the game because it is really great and, as I said, quite relaxing.
