Tuition money, learn the hard way

but I don't mean the bad purchase for Demeo (spoiler: it's worth the money) but until I won the first quest for the first time. First I had to learn which cards were useful and which weren't. Also that you should always keep your group together. And in this context how important the card is for calling the group together. What interested me before I bought it: Can I play it solo or do I definitely need other players? Answer: You can play it just as well solo (you then control up to 4 heroes) like, for example, Baldur's Gate & Co. No problem at all. Great game.

Takes the joy out of the game

I bought this game a while back and just can't play it. I just gave up trying to play it even with a friend doing co-op Enemies continue to spawn and just grind you to dust. I just downloaded it again since it's been a while and there's no difficulty setting and it's near impossible to play. It takes someone like me who is a casual gamer and just ruins the experience.

Tedious, difficult, slowed paced

This game has a lot of potential. But there is no difficulty setting, so every game is extremely difficult. You get 2 movements per turn per character, and then the enemies move and you have to wait for 12 different minions to make their move and attack. It is extremely slow paced and aggravating. Your characters are underpowered to a fault. You have to roll an 8 sided die, which makes no sense because you already have weak attacks. The concept is very cool and it looks cool, but I’ve had this game for 2 years and I still have yet to complete a single one of the adventures. It is infinitely frustrating and incredibly unrewarding. I would skip unless you are a die hard table top RPG fan.

Great but way too expensive!

I have played both Demeo and Demeo Battles avidly since their release and I think they are fantastic. I am however disappointed at the high price of the original (fourty bucks??). I have played Demeo Battles with my daughter and I went to the store to gift her the original Demeo and was definitely sticker shocked. I'm going to have to wait a bit to give it to her because it is just too expensive! I do not understand the reason why, especially as old as the game is.

It's only hard at first...

If you're used to playing games where you have classes with traditional roles, such as tank, damage dealers, and healers, you'll learn fast and really have fun. If you have never done that before it's going to take longer to understand how to make your characters work together to defeat the bosses (hint: always take a tank with you - you get a repair armor on every turn). I've never had any technical issues with the game and the graphics and gameplay are really great. I highly recommend!
