Amazing & Well-Thought-Out App

I tried out the Waltz lessons as a beginner and love it so far! They are well thought-out and well implemented. Excited for more Waltz lessons to come out on DLCs. I like how they have the step maps both on the floor and at eye-level at the same time so you can look at your virtual partner while knowing where to go next. Also like that you can slow it down to learn the steps at your own pace. The tracking of the feet is cool too! I like this gamification the way it is! Also, I got a bit dizzy with all the spinning in the Waltzes and I saw some advice to look at something stationary in the distance to help with that(?). Maybe there can be a short lesson or tip section about that. Otherwise, this is an amazing app that I'm happy to support! I think it’s a wonderful tool for people who are disabled or immunocompromised or maybe socially anxious, who may not easily be able to just “get out there” and take lessons/dance with other people for whatever reasons. PS I would love swing dance lessons please! Edit: I’m happy to see they added a convenient option to adjust the play area within the game, reachable on your wrist. It works well in the game, to move and rotate the step maps to your liking! I also tried out the other dance styles and it’s amazing how easy this app makes it to learn them! Never danced anything before. Looking forward to more!!!!

Game, exercise, learn a skill. Awesome.

The creator David Huang is a great guy (go to the discord) and clearly put what he wanted in VR, into real life. Dude literally MADE the change he wanted to see in the world. It works impressively well, my 70 year old mom even got a Quest 3 because of this game. David is always trying to improve the game, adding new dances etc. Absolutely worth the price.

Travolta, eat your heart out!

I'm not a dancer, I like to dance, but really hate line dancing, planned dances like the Cha Cha, Ballroom dancing etc... so I got this app to learn how and to surprise my wife, but the biggest surprise was how badly I sucked at it. If you want to learn how to do different specialty dances, this is a good game for you. It works great; it teaches well. It comes with a couple dances to learn, then it offers DLCs to learn others, Buy the ones you want to learn, pass on the ones you don't. As a 63-year-old, learning to do these dances, it was fun and entertaining, but as they say "You can't teach an old dog new tricks" at least not this old dog. The ONLY thing I really did not like is this. I can see buying more lessons for more money, NO problem there. What I can not see is paying $30 for a VR pretend, mirror ball? I know you need to earn money to keep this going, but $30 for an imaginary mirror ball? Seriously? I might have dished out $2.99 for one, but not a cent more and I think you will find the same goes for anyone who plays this game. I own over 800 games and apps for my Q3, so it's not that I'm broke or cheap, but this is ridiculous. I hope you do continue to add more dances to learn. I would love a DLC of Disco dances from the 1970's & 1980's.

Great Learning app and nice work out!

As a Beta tester, I enjoyed this game during the dev cycle and even now with the early access build. IT makes learning dance easy even for an old guy with a Dad Bod!

Best VR app to learn dancing

I have tried 6 different VR dance apps and this one is by far the best. Especially if you want to learn a dance from scratch. You are being taught step by step in short and easy to digest lessons, then get feedback on how you did in different categories like motion direction and hand motion. After you master the initial basic moves of a dance style, you can embark on more advanced dance moves. The developers are regularly adding packs for the four different dances you can practice in dance guru: salsa, cha cha, bachata and waltz.
