This is awesome and what I always wanted

But there is a big issue. Rent only. As usual there should be two options. Rent and own. I want to be able to pay and watch this multiple times and share with friends and family and I can’t keep renting it every time I want to show someone etc. keep the rent option but add a purchase for the usual movie amounts and we’re on to something. To go extra mile, let us invite friends to watch together in vr, vr is all about social. Having said that. This is what vr can offer movies and what I love about it. I hope more studios do this with their movies in vr. Cause this is what immersive movie watching is like and something you cannot recreate outside of vr. Good job on this. Hope more movies keep coming

Majorly disappointed.

This app’s marketing was very misleading. You are only given the option to rent (2) movies for 48 hours. You aren’t able to experience this with a friend. It is a 100% solo, isolated experience. The app is also in a terrible state. I rented the Megan movie thinking I’d get to have a cool experience with a friend. Nope. I get to watch it alone, while the app crashes mid movie more than 8 times within the first 20 minutes of the movie. I have no interest in paying money to watch movies alone. If there is no social integration, why would I spend a dime? Majorly disappointed. I do not reccomend this app.

Fantastic, ignore the whining

Stop with the low stars because you don't like the rental idea. You are just cutting off your nose off to spite your face. Look, these guys are the first people to do this, and it's pretty awesome and it's just going to get better with the tech. Sitting in a basement environment is pretty cool for the Black Phone, as well as all of the different environments for Megan. It's awesome is what it is. I've been expecting this years ago back when the Oculus came out and these guys are finally the first ones to do it. The rental idea makes sense, in case there's ever an issue with this version of the software. Well done Blumhouse! Way to be a step ahead of everyone!

IGNORE THE ONE STAR REVIEWS!!!

This is incredible! Let me tell you, the experience is amazing. It’s actually so immersive and cool I can’t even explain. I thought it was gonna be a flat screen and the environment changes around you according to the current setting of the movie. And although this is true, I didn’t expect 3d things to COME OUT OF THE SCREEN!!! The experience is amazing! I love it. Now okay, I get it. Currently it has no buy option and there’s a few bugs (I have not encountered any so far myself, I’m just going by what others have wrote) BUT 2.7 STARS IS RIDICULOUS! All they need to do is add a buy option and straighten out a few launch day bugs. GUYS CMON! This is an amazing experience. Now I’m really worried that because of the low launch day ratings, the devs aren’t gonna continue to support this app with future titles. That would be so disappointing given that it genuinely is such an amazing experience and the 1 star ratings are just so heavy handed given their about things that can so easily be added. DEVS! Please don’t give up on this app, please add a buy feature and keep working on this cause it s so awesome. GREAT JOB! I love blumhouse too, if I were to request a movie it would be “The visit” because I can already think of the environments and immersion “creepy basement, crawl space, and other things that would make it awesome. And “Happy death day”. That would be GREAT!

48 Hours is not Accurate

DO NOT ignore the 1 start reviews. I assume the person that said that is an employee. Rented M3gan, and did not start the movie until the next day. I started the movie, and ran out of charge halfway through. I went back this evening (the next day) to finish the movie, but it is no longer available. They claim the timer starts when you hit play, but they actually start the timer on purchase. No customer support means F0ck me and anyone else that tries to rent a movie. The immersive rental was cool so it's a real bummer.
