Yeti Hunt is a horror survival VR game where you play as a brave hunter searching for a mysterious beast deep in the northern forest. Rumors tell of people vanishing in the wilderness, only to be found dead later. The Jasper newspapers recently reported the disappearance of a group of tourists in the national park. While the police believe it was an accident caused by a rafting trip gone wrong, your team is certain that something far more sinister is at play—one of the most elusive creatures of legend, the Sasquatch. Determined to uncover the truth, you venture into the unknown, facing the terrifying dangers that lurk in the shadows.

In this intense VR hunting experience, you must track and battle not only the Yeti, but also Bigfoot and other giant monsters hidden deep within the wilderness. Your journey takes you through hauntingly beautiful and deadly environments—from snow-covered peaks and foggy green jungles to lava-filled mountains. Each landscape is filled with dense mist, wild animals, and eerie sounds that keep you on edge.

You are not alone in this dangerous mission. By your side is a loyal wolf companion, trained to track monsters and uncover hidden dangers. The wolf helps you follow the trail, navigate through the thick fog, and alert you to unseen threats lurking in the darkness. But survival will not be easy—your weapons, skills, and courage will be put to the test as you hunt down these legendary creatures while trying to survive the terrifying environment.

Mediocre But Fun! Worth The $0.99

Now before I jump into the review let me start by saying I only paid .99 cents for the game. My review is going to take that into full consideration. Full price for this game is $2.99. So with that being said let me get on with the review. Yeti Hunt sees you in the roll of a hunter. Your objective is to simply take out the Yeti as well as two other creatures. You start out in a cabin located in the woods. You have a small arsenal of weapons to equip yourself with from pistols to machine guns. Also joining you on the hunt is a companion wolf who has the ability to show you where the Yeti (or other creature) is, as well as draw its attention. The graphics are obviously of a very low budget affair but do a decent enough job of conveying the world and creatures you encounter. Movement is serviceable but would have been so much better with smooth turning. As it stands you have full locomotion with quick turning and the ability to teleport. It gets the job done. There is no crouch, so make sure you are standing up as there will be times you need to bend over to pick up a dropped weapon or magazine. The gunplay is fine with traditional VR weapon controls. They are very accurate with no issues hitting what you're aiming at. The guns are accurate even over long distances. The shotgun is a problem though as when you quick turn it ejects your shells. This needs to be fixed. The game as a whole is very short with a full playthrough clocking in around the 30 minute mark. There are 3 rounds in total, with each round seeing you fight one additional creature maxing out at 3 creatures. Once the third round is complete the game is over. For a buck I got my monies worth and enjoyed my 30 minutes with the game. I have no intention of playing it again as there isn’t any real replay value. Just shoot the monster till its dead, rinse and repeat. Its all over before you know it.
