To all 1-star reviewers

This is not "bad quality" or something that "should not have passed Oculus curation". If 3DOF VR video is not exactly what you want it, go play something else. We all get to complain when things we want is not approved, but not here, and don't take it out on innocent Within. This app is great, offers lots of cool content not previously seen on the Quest. If you're having problems streaming, try downloading instead! Keep it civil and Quest on.

Good selection of vids, limited quality

I like Within. Try it! But I also have to admit: The general problem is a (current) technical limitation: The possible resolution. Even 4k Videos are very blurred. And imho 8k videos does not look much better. Because today, the resolution of the videos is far, far too low (My explanation: This resolution is projected on a globe around you. What resolution remains in your current field of view? When you see about 90x90 degree in your headset). And that's a pity. So, not Within is the problem. It's great. The current resolution of the videos destroys my "immersion". Reminds me of good old CRT TV: NTSC and PAL TV :-). So regarding content and the app itself: full points, regarding video quality one point. Average: 3 points.

New to VR? Try this for sure.

If you have no clue where to find other online VR vids, aside from YouTube 360, this app is for you. The vids are often 3dofF, not 6dofF, but regardless there are still really cool things to discover sitting on your couch. When you open it you are presented with a Netflix like menu. You can flip through the available vids, or you can use the menu below to sort them into categories like animated, documentaries, music, etc. I found stuff I had seen like the award winning animated short Crow which was on rift and go, but not quest. I also tried a vid from the New York Times VR, and many more I want to try. A word of caution. If you have crappy wifi internet, then I suggest you download the content (each vid) if you find it is grainy. LEGO Batman was in low resolution and really crapy streaming, until I downloaded it. Then it was like Lego Batman was right beside me. My only other issue, and this will be on an individual basis, the menu you use to flip feels like it switches too fast so I get a woosh feeling that makes me a little dizzy. If I could slow that down a bit I 100% would. All in all, if you are new to VR, if you don't know side loading, and streaming via Virtual Desktop this is for you. If you aren't aware of where to find other content beyond YouTube 360 and the Oculus Broswer I'd give this a go.

Amazing…& a suggestion to Within!

I first used Within on Cardboard years ago, and that was my first VR and an incredible experience! We’ve come a bit since then. In terms of addressing the low resolution of some of them…I’m not sure how it would be possible since it depends on the individual producers of the video, but ***suggestion*** perhaps introduce a note (such as the one Oculus has for comfort level) mentioning the resolution (or of that effect), so that viewers are not “surprised” upon opening the video? 🙂

Full of surprises

I am continuously delighted and surprised at the offerings available through this app. Yesterday I was reliving my personal African baby elephant encounters. Today I enjoyed watching what happened to a young man who decided to subvert the museum warning "do not touch." I've listened to music and watched art created in NYC. There is just no end to the creativity being offered, and stood in the audience of SNL. Delightful. Enjoyable. Fun and entertaining. And I even found a great pre-bed wind-down.
