This game is 10 stars. Graphics, game play and the desire to play are top notch . For a side scroller it is extremely well done. Highly recommended.

I enjoyed the game right up until the end, because I simply cannot even get to the final boss. The platform jumping immediately before the final save point and boss is virtually impossible on the Go, at least for me. If you can do it on the Go, then I freely admit you are a god among humans, or else you’re extremely lucky. I swear I’ve tried those jumps over 300 times now, and I’m done. I’m out. Yes, I went back and found nearly all the secrets and power-ups, 12 hearts and 12 magic. Yes, I have the double-jump power. And yes, it sucks to be defeated by the mechanics and layout of a game rather than the enemies, but it’s no longer worth the time and frustration. I gave up and watched a walkthrough video just to see how it all ended. Apparently on the Rift and Gear you can alter your perspective a bit to get a better view of that stage, but not on the Go. Would it be easier using my Xbox One bluetooth controller? Maybe, but I can’t tell, since I can’t find a way to get this game to recognize the controller. But hey, I enjoyed 99% of the game and I’m giving it 4 stars. It was just the final 1% that spoiled things, and whoever designed that last little platforming area can go jump off a platform and right into a lake. Preferably a freezing one. With ice piranhas.

This is one of the best vr games. Awesome graphics. It is also very easy on the eyes, no nausea.

If you like side scrolling puzzle fighting games then this is for you. However the difficulty of the first boss was frustrating for the default difficulty. Also the map in the book is too small to have any real use. Wish there was a zoom function for the map and game as getting lost is annoying.
