Look out for that! BOOM

I received a copy of VR Blast from the developer via competition on Facebook. They have not paid me for a review. This review is solely my own thoughts and opinions. TLDR: A simple game with a great amount of replay value. The more you play. The more you unlock. Every run is different from the last one. Worth it at the price point. VR Blast is a simple game which has smooth graphics, a great soundtrack and a great difficulty ramp. This review reflects the recent redemption update. I did play the game before the recent update and the update has brought dramatic improvement to the flow of the game. Quite simply you start a run. Choose a level and get to shooting. Enjoy the soundtrack and get ready to impress yourself when you make it that last leg which you thought was going to be your last. At the end of every level a random bonus is available which can improve weapons, gameplay mechanics or provide extra redemption. Good Points: Simple to play. Great fun. Challenging enough to keep it interesting but not so challenging it is off putting. Leader board function is a nice addition. Collectables which change how the core mechanics of the game work. Bad points: I couldn't find an option for colour blindness settings. As stated earlier in the review I received this in a competition on facebook however had I dropped £8 on this I would have more than had my value from the game.

Surprisingly addictive

I played a couple of games and thought it was kind of neat but that it wasn't quite reeling me in, I was thinking I'm not sure I will play this again but I thought I would give it one more try before bed, on that go I got to level 13 and really started to understand the perks and shotgun and now I would thoroughly recommend this game especially for the cost, just give it a few goes until you started getting to the more difficult levels and it starts to flow. Only negatives, songs seem to repeat a lot, but they are decent, and the leader board didn't seem to work so no idea how good getting to level 13 is, I assume not that great.

Superb!

Update: New 360 Mode is absolutely superb. I must admit I had let this game fall down my playlist over time, not because it was bad, but just because in the world of VR games you are constantly wanting to try new games and you often forget about other games in the process. Then I saw that this has had an update so I checked it out. 15 minutes later, VR Blast had rocketed back up to the top of my must play list. The changes this game has gone through since I first played it are astonishing. It's so polished, well presented and insanely addictive. There is potential here for multiplayer where two players occupy the same arena battling to get the most points or even co-op. _______________ Very enjoyable. Look forward to the updates! I've played this when it was first available and I the developers and continuously improving this game. It's changed so much and it's so much fun. Very addictive!

I really liked the game, felt like i dont want to stop. After a few games i realised i could go on for hours ;) For now it has only single player. I wonder what its going to be like if they develop multiplayer! Great game, guys!
