BURN AND FALLOW.

VITRIOL is a physics based VR movement shooter. Combining speed and visceral combat with the presence and physicality VR can only offer through stylized physics.

Fast and Loose - Long strides and Heavy Blows churn through the wretched horde with a freedom and ease rare to VR.

Hand to Skull - Physics based Enemies and an in-depth elbow estimation system provide a physicality and presence to the combat which enhances gameplay beyond what was previously possible.

Blood, Fire and Pillars of Smoke - Sinners malformed, Righteous Risen. The Wrath of God in Steeled Men. Scored by a soundtrack that hits just as hard, drowned in a haze just as thick.

great demo, suffers from one major flaw

i’ll just say it, we all have this game because it’s ultrakill’s vr clone, and it’s a pretty solid one at that. only problem is this game has an ammo system, and the reason ultrakill didn’t have one is very apparent throughout the game. you have to either choose between wanting to shoot your gun or parry, not do both like you could in ultrakill, and it really bogs down the game. on the topic of parrying, i think whatever you parry should have a sort of aim-assist built in to direct it closer to whatever shot at you as aiming it in vr is nearly impossible without the AOE it has

HOW TO PLAY LEVELS

Go into the settings press the "beta opt in" option, you might have to restart your headset but then turn it back on press the update button then it should work. i have no idea why the sandbox mode is the original option no one wants to play sandbox they want to play levels, that's what makes the levels a good demo it shows you how good the game COULD be if it gets finished. also the claws are a lot better than a "Super punch"

Highly recommend for Ultrakill players!

In my opinion, this game has to be one of the best ultrakill vr games (Besides Vrtrakill). Even if it wasn't somewhat like Ultrakill, it's still a great Vr shooter. It's Variation of enemies is fine, and the bosses are challenging. I REALLY enjoy the Parry mechanic. after all, this is a great game, has some bugs, and I can't wait until the full version comes out!

BURN AND FALLOW (RIP AND TEAR)

It's been a while since I last played a VR game that actually FEELS like a videogame. It's amazing. You play as a gunslinging robo-preacher in a western/medieval/steampunk demon-infested world?!? It sounds metal because it IS METAL. The late-90s style is perfect for Standalone VR, and the soundtrack sets the tone just right. 10/10 already, I can't wait to see what comes next! Request to the Developer: Consider implementing IOBT! It would be sick to elbow strike some demons in VR, especially if a blade/spike could extend from the elbow, like the claws extend from your hands!
