Discover an engrossing new world of mixed reality, where your play space merges with a virtual landscape. Interact with Oppy and The World Beyond using your hands and voice. Use a magic flashlight to find energy orbs in your own room, hidden behind Passthrough. Grab them with your hands, tossing them into your space as Oppy navigates around your furniture and room. Use voice commands to ask Oppy to jump or come, or just say hi! Feed her energy orbs so she can return home!

The World Beyond is a 5 minute tech demo of Presence Platform features. As such, a full game experience should not be expected; it's instead meant to inspire developers to build mixed reality experiences!

"The World Beyond" Is Broken ....

Updated to v40 last week. Did the room setup perfectly, just waiting to use TWB .... Downloaded it, ran it and what do mine eyes behold ...?? Pitch darkness, a flash of ghost hands for about half a second, then alternating high- and low-pitched electronic "chirps" .... I re-setup the room, deleted and re-downloaded the app: SAME. EXACT. RESULTS. A few people online have mentioned they have this trouble, too. I was anxiously awaiting this app, but all for naught it seems. Sure, I get that it's an appLAB app and all tje potential problems that go along with that. But TWB was hyped by Zuck himself, so there's zero room for any excuses. FIX THIS, META!!

Black screen

I got this a week or so ago when it launched and have the issue others are reporting of a black screen with some chirping audio even after doing the new room setup. Initially I had just clicked "helpful" on other reviews saying the same thing but I don't think that will get Meta's attention like 1 star reviews will. There's no other place to report this.

Great APP - Read for black screen fix

I first downloaded app a few weeks back. I could only get audio with a black screen. I tried a few times since with same results despite resetting my device, redrawing my room etc Thanks to another review on here I realised that dev mode was not switched on in the oculus mobile app. It's worth noting that it used to be switched on & I guess an update has set it to off. Once I switched developer mode back on, the app worked first time. From this point on my experience of the app was very positive. It really shows some of the fun things that can be achieved with the passthrough feature. I really hope devs treat it as more than just a gimmick!

Black screen fix

This game has great potential, at the moment it's very short (a few minutes). I look forward to what AR can bring. To (possibly) fix the black screen make sure to reset your Quest 2 after installing and opening the app and getting the black screen. If that doesn't work turn on developer mode. I still got the black screen after turning developer mode on but a quick restart seemed to have fixed it. Hope this helps.

Fantastic

I want more content. I want to be able to use Brink this way. I want to be able to use BigScreen and YouTube this way. I want Wander to have this functionality. I want my walls to be another world, I want more. Edit: one issue that kept stopping me from showing this demo to friends, the torch wouldn't attach to my hand most of the time. It worked maybe one time in five. Odd, considering I'm holding a controller and presumably this should be easy to track. Bit of work to be done, but I'm looking forward to this working eventually.
