Dive into an adventure in the earth’s oceans. Explore in your high-tech submarine fascinating spots like the Galapagos, the Arctic, Cozumel island or the WW2 German battlecruiser Scharnhorst. Swim with majestic whales, sharks and sea turtles. Solve quests using your upgradeable tools: Cut with the laser to free jailed whales or entangled turtles, use the scanner for details on over 100 species, use the welder to repair subsea cables and the beam grabber to collect pieces of the infamous nuclear submarine Kursk. If you finish a level its state changes and you get new quests.

And take real action! You can support the work of established NGOs: Buy the Green Pack from PlanetPlay (featured Baywatch' David Hasselhoff, Joe Jonas and Demi Lovato) and support certified conservation projects. Adopt dolphins and whales and support the Whale and Dolphin Conservation WDC directly.

The quests are based on real ocean regions, discover real sunken submarines, WW2 battleship wrecks, Deep Sea creatures or Caribbean coral reefs. You encounter all of the giants and living wonders of the oceans from sharks, to dolphins, sea turtles and the blue whale. Dive where no one has gone before to reveal the last mysteries of the oceans.

Explore The Wonders Of The Ocean

It's nice to take a break from the intense shooting/action games out there with a gem like The Great Ocean. Great casual exploration game with an education element sprinkled in. I've included it on my video list of top 10 App Lab games: https://youtu.be/Peq49fV911Y

Edutainment at its finest

This is an updated review. Now that I got some bugs worked out after a reinstall and some help from the devs I can give a proper review. The Great Ocean is a mix of education and entertainment that teaches you about the ocean, animals, and how we can care for sealife. Taking a dive in the various areas and learning about the fish and submersed sites around the world is intriguing. While th game is a little rough in terms of detail and visuals, the animals presented look amazing. I was awestruck the few times that turtles, dolphins, whales, and other creatures swam past my submarine. This game is really cool and can be used as an educational tool for students as well as entertaining them. Cheers to the devs and thanks for getting back to me with my questions earlier.

Cool game, full of stuff to laser away

I really like the calm diving around and exploring the different levels from shallow Cozumel, to the deeper Galapagos to the real deep Artic - each looks cool. The missions are nice, easy to solve once you know your way and which tools you need to use. The new character voices help you and tell interesting stuff along the way. Its a real historic moment to check out the Kursk.

I love exploring the ocean

The game has a lot of potential. I love exploring the ocean. I understand it's a very early version, But why isn't the progress saved? Every time I have to start the game from the beginning. Please don't abandon the development!
