void room

Tea For God is a VR adventure that uses impossible spaces with procedural generation to allow players infinite movement within their own room. Customizable gameplay can be anything between a relaxing long walk, an intense arcade shooter (checkpoint based) and a roguelite shooter-explorer.

In the distant future, humankind has been united, ruled by God Emperor. Endowed with advanced technology we reached stars, colonised new worlds, went onto endless crusades against myriads of civilisations.

Personal tragedies tend to be meaningless against the time. But once in a while, one person may start a fire that can change the fate of the whole universe. A man who lost his family, who holds God Emperor accountable for their death, seeking answers and vengeance, embarks onto his last journey to the place no human has ever left alive, where God Emperor is believed to reside.

Best Quest game in terms of atmosphere

Many years ago, when it appeared as a small demo on itch.io, it was an interesting game, but it didn't offer much variety in terms of content. Now it has an incredible scope and the atmosphere and sci-fi setting is incredibly good. A great story and a lot of variety. The gameplay is additionally extraordinary and almost unique with the non-Euclidean geometry that lets you run endlessly without hitting your own walls. An absolute recommendation from me and also a great and very nice developer who has invested a lot of time in it over many years.

new BEST game for VR!

this is an AWESOME game. i dont see why it hasnt become the poster child for VR, the way super hot used to be... a decade ago. the bottom line is, you can play that, beat saber, almost any of those games in 2d. but here is the FIRST TRULY UNIQUE vr game that you CANNOT play in 2d -- or alternatively, the first VR game where you walk to move and never have to worry how small your living room is. that enough should be enough for everyone to give this a go. but what topped it off for me is the incredible depth of the game. i came in expecting just the mechanics of letting me walk around to justify the cost. but i didnt expect it to also add puzzles, bosses, story, so many unique rooms/scenarios/enemies/weapons, and generally speaking the complexity of a top-rated, sophisticated game. it really blew me away. now, i would say its not without areas of improvement, for sure. some of the instructions arent clear enough to me. i dont have any sense of how near the objective i am (i havent won yet). and it took several back and forths with the developer to get setup initially (but he is helpful). but none of these are enough to prevent me from giving 5* and recommending to everyone.

The current peak of immersion

What this game offers from a surface-level perspective is, at first, just a roguelike arcade shooter with a pretty good storyline, but nothing too crazy. The selling point, though, is its use of Impossible Spaces -- procedurally generated rooms that seemingly exist independently of the others that are capable of making average-sized playing areas feel like massively expansive fields. Moving around in these spaces without the use of a joystick's sliding movement feels incredible, and this is the only VR game i'm comfortable running in. If you want to forget that the room you're playing in is hardly any larger than an elementary school classroom, this is the game to play.

the game adapts to your space, but if you have 3x3 meters you play better, perhaps I suggest you move a table and play in 3x3 instead of not moving anything and playing in 2x2 meters. the sensation is really of great presence in the game, I also recommend reducing the guardian's sensitivity to a minimum so you don't see the borders as you get close, the game will prevent you from crashing into a wall because it builds the world around you so you never leave the playing area, in this way without ever seeing the guardian's grid you will really forget about reality, and I also recommend you try it with handtraking, although there are still some small details to fix, playing it like this makes even more sense diving, as well as shooting the robots it can be very satisfying to punch them, usually some robots even need just one punch in the right place to make them explode! this type of game represents a real revolution, and is really worth the cost of the ticket! and also there will be updates too!

I was hesitant but is worth it

I was hesitant to buy it, I had the demo and played it several times, in exploration mode and guided mode, spent so many hours that I truly believed there wasn’t much more to offer, specially since there are many other games at that price, but then I realized that even if there wasn’t anything new I should pay for all the fun I had with the demo, and help an indie developer paying for one of the greatest game in the Oculus. The buy has payed off, I am having a blast and the game has more to offer thank the demo, if you haven’t you should also support our indie community
