Over all enjoyable

I was debating whether to give this game a 4 star or 5, but since there aren’t a lot of tank games in the meta quest store, I decided to give the game a chance. Reason: for starters, the tank battles were pretty intense and engage-able. Sure, I think it would need to improve in some areas. Like…I would get hit without feeling the effects of the hits and would die without knowing. That was a bit annoying, but I got the hang of it. Having to strategize with other players was also a plus for me. Usually most of these types of games are deathmatches, but knowing each other roles of the tanks helped working with teammates a lot more engaging. The aiming was a bit difficult and being used to the joysticks to manually playing needed time to adjust. But I think it was designed that way to make it feel more immersive. Social area was different…I wish there was a scoreboard for the arrow shooting or the darts. It got old really fast for me. But if they add the scoreboard, I think it’ll be much better. Me and a couple of my friends bought the game together, so it was worth playing together. Overall, I would recommend this game if you like strategic type of games and like to fool around with friends. I’m sure the game will improve with time. Hoping to see updates that improve the game.

Tank is fun, but Lounge is so much fun

The main game where you ride tanks was incredibly enjoyable, as you could pilot various tanks and use spectacular skills. In the lounge, I could meet and chat with other people, play pranks with toys, and even play a hand soccer game called Mega Ball. The lounge is insanely fun. I plan to have fun with people in the lounge every day. I want to make friends in the lounge.

Fun - looking forward to future updates

I've probably played about 20 games so far, and it's been pretty fun. The base mechanics seem solid, and it's a fun vibe sitting in the tank and driving around. It looks nice visually and has a consistent art style that works for the game. The game could use some more game modes and ways to have fun in the tank that's not just the base 4v4 online game. The online 4v4 is a fun experience, but the framework that was built has a lot of potential for single player experiences, cooperative modes, or more casual online versus modes. There needs to be a post game stats screen with a way to send messages or friend requests. I'd like to be able to see everyone's kills, deaths, assists, damage, healing done, damage taken, etc. It would also be nice to be able to run custom games with 8 players. I would assume the tryhards would like to find each other and play more competitively. I'd like to see the 4v4 game modes expanded with larger maps and capture points that rotate to different places. It would make the game more strategic and force people to move around more. Right now if one team is winning decisively the game kind of boils down to the defenders sitting on a point and shooting at the attackers through whatever choke point they have to get through. The capture point moving would vary things up a bit and give some breathing room for the attackers to adjust. I think the game could also use a a power up system with on map pickups. Things like damage boost, overshield, speed boost, fast reloads, etc. Give people a reason to go places on the map that aren't the capture point. Teams should also have a constant power up spawn at their base that spawns stronger items if your team is doing poorly. Maybe base it on damage taken and give bonuses for deaths so it's predictable. In close games it won't decide the outcome, but in lopsided games it should make it a bit more fun for everyone.

Honest Feedback Review

Overview This game is a nice differentiation to its predecessor World War Toons. It features a 4v4 tank mayhem online with other players set in a futuristic setting. Lobby The game starts in a cyber-themed room, where you can customize your character, buy currency and cosmetics, and customize you room and start the game. You are given a tag and a pre-determined name, which I’ll explain a bit later. Most of the game’s replay value is shown through cosmetics, as there is a season pass with actually good rewards on the free tier and allows players to collect currency as they play the game and level up. The avatar cosmetics are also good, however there is a lack of variety of skins to choose which might offset some players. I like the amount of furniture and collectibles you can choose to put in your room and you can place anything free-form. You can also check out all the tanks in the room and customize the skins from the barrel, treads, and body. Being able to customize the walls and floors would make the room look more unique. Multiplayer Lobby The multiplayer lobby is where there are some issues with the game start to shine. I don’t care much about graphics, but I was able to clearly see a lot of pixels in the multiplayer lobby when I looked at signs and the targets for archery. In general the low-res was most noticeable in this area in the game and all the Quest headsets do have enough power to exceed the resolution scale. When trying to friend people, you have to type in their tag which might be tedious to some players. It would help if you could directly friend request based off of their profile. The gesture to friend people only worked with one hand (the left one, I believe). Lastly, if you have a Meta friend and you friend them on this game, but you also friend some strangers, the contrast between the Meta name and the random names they give you here can leave players very confused. Having all the names the same as the Meta Quest ones would help keep friendships in and outside of the game. The archery in the game also has no score counter/function to start the game, so it doesn’t have much of a use to be fun with players. The lobby doesn’t showcase the theme all too much and it is overall mostly grey. Having things like arcade carpet textures would make it lively and help it attach to the theme more. Overall though, it serves its job when you want to find people. Gameplay/Multiplayer There isn’t any flaws with the actual gameplay aspects. My first game started before I finished the tutorial, but I got a feel for the controls. For text, I had to move a bit closer because of some of the resolution, but other that that I had no resolution issues here. It’s a 4v4 where everyone chooses a tank, with three different tank classes, Attack, Defense, and Support. Every tank has a crit point, which is the turret. While someone on your team uses one tank, you cannot use that tank, but you can change tanks every deploy. The balance on all tanks is very good, I have had no issue whatsoever with balancing and I have tried all the tanks. On the top of your tank there is a map which marks the capture point, the status, and the enemies and allies on the map. This map does take away the space from the top of your tank, so if there was a pull tab that made it adjustable, it could help some players. There are at least three maps and one game mode. The game mode requires people of one team to fully control the capture point at the middle which stays dormant. Games typically end relatively quickly overall, so a variety of game modes would help like a capture the flag game mode, as well as maybe an artifact one. Having coins around the map could easily encourage players to move around more. The backgrounds of the maps are pretty good, however some of the maps still don’t resemble the themes too much, and adding blue-ish shapes and patterns to the floors and the walls would make everything look more lively. While it doesn’t affect me, having an option to turn off voice lines is also a good option for the playerbase. I believe the biggest issue in-game is that team Voice Chat is not enabled by default. This prevents players from sticking together and friending others as they can’t socialize unless they are in a party, and you would have to be in the lobby to friend people, because you cannot see people’s tags in-game. You also can’t tell if you would be playing with real players or with bots. I also had to rejoin one of my friends through the menu after every game since I was in a different lobby than my squad every time. Verdict Overall, Ultimate League provides a definitive VR arcade tank expirience, as it is a very niece part of the VR industry and Quest platform. Its strongest areas are in its cosmetics and season pass grind, as well as the friendly characters and room customization. It takes the good aspects of World War Toons and combines it with a futuristic theme. If you are looking for something to just jump into, or a simple tank game, this serves it’s general purpose and I would recommend. I hope this was helpful. Extra Feedback/Suggestions -Adding multiplayer and surface customization to rooms -Turning on team voice chat by default -Allow players to see Meta Quest names -Help fix the friend gesture to work with both hands -Increase the resolution of the text and icons -Add scores to archery -Add more gamemodes -Daily rewards to keep players coming back -Pull tab for in-game map -Maybe have an option for manual reload like WWT -Have an option to turn off announcer voice -Have a leveling system for tanks to get exclusive cosmetics/currency/attachments that change function -Add coins around the map (maybe for multiplayer lobby too)

Amazing game

I love the way the controls feel and the tank designs and the way the cockpits look worth the money 10/10 underrated. The only complaint is the lack of customizing the cockpit
