beautiful!

There are already quit a few apps focusing on meditation and relaxation out there and I have tried many. Spacious places however takes a new approach by adding the possibility to play several instruments either by hand or with the controllers. The beautiful and calming environments are mostly 3d180 degrees generated, sometimes static, sometimes there is a floating/moving around experience added. There is also nice calming music in the background. Altogether i found it enjoying, relaxing and interesting enough to buy the app and spend some time in it, way more than i usually do with these kind of apps, so that's a compliment to the developper. I definitely recommend checking the free demo out. For further development of the app, i would love to see three improvements, if possible: More traveling experiences instead of static worlds. A bit more accuracy playing the instruments and hitting/touching the differents keys. And, if possible, worlds that have more than 180 degrees fov, like 210, so you don't see the end of the environment if looking to the sides. It doesn't need to be 360 all the way, something like 210-240 should be sufficient. I like to add that with development of 3d worlds for these kind of apps, I would really like to see prioritised quality over quantity. So better a few big high resolution highly detailed worlds where you can have a floating/traveling experience, then a ton of less appealing static worlds. Thumbs up for the developper!

Great app and not too expensive

SPACIOUS SPACES offers a refreshingly straightforward approach to VR meditation. For a one-time price of just $10, it avoids the increasingly common subscription model, which already sets it apart in a crowded market. The app focuses on immersive environments (“vistas”), and there is a solid variety to choose from. Each space feels open and intentionally designed to promote calm without overstimulation. Importantly, there are no imposed time limits within these environments—you can stay as long as you want, which supports a more natural, self-directed meditation experience. One of its more unique features is the ability to play your own musical instruments within the VR space. This adds a creative, almost therapeutic layer that goes beyond passive meditation. The Lotus breathing metronome is another well-executed tool, providing a subtle visual rhythm for breathwork without being intrusive. A notable advantage is what the app *doesn’t* do: it doesn’t rely on a constant guiding voice. Unlike other apps that can feel overly directive or even distracting, SPACIOUS SPACES gives you silence and autonomy. This makes it particularly suitable for users who prefer unguided meditation or already have an established practice. Overall, SPACIOUS SPACES is minimalistic in the right ways. It prioritizes presence, flexibility, and user control over gamification or coaching. For a modest one-time cost, it delivers a clean, distraction-free VR meditation experience with enough depth to remain engaging over time.
