This game is amazing! The planes are for free, and there is plenty ofcoptions like a jet, a fighter jet, and big planes. This game is $14 but still, definitly not a scam. This game should deserve a 5 star but 4.6 stars is plenty for you to buy this game and have a try!

The base game is a bit lacking, but the mods are where this game shines. From the simplest cargo planes which simply require you to hit the throttle, to a accurate Cessna which requires the proper fuel to air ratio to fly, this game truly has everything. Fly your favorite plane (MIG because MIGs are simply superior) through a massive open world, attempting landings which quickly evolve into emergency take offs and emergency landings. Bash your head against your cockpit as you attempt to get a Cessna in the air. Pull out your emergency pilot pistol as you realize you completely overshot your destination while getting a drink of water and are now hopelessly lost. Blast danger zone through your headset as your F-15 quickly goes out of control since you're left handed. You'll probably have fun. And probably recreate some historical events.

I know that development's probably already moved on to SimplePlanes 2 and Juno, but please update SimplePlanes VR one last time. The game was made a while ago, so it's optimized for very low-end devices. There should be more graphics settings and also other stuff like the ability to spawn custom planes instead of just stock planes like base SimplePlanes. Also, while base SimplePlanes has new lever types, SimplePlanes VR still only has one lever type (the default one), which causes many planes to not have levers (in the VR version). Also, maybe add some QoL changes, like a search bar and glove color/transparency customization.

Now this is going to be a little lengthy review. So reading this fully is not expected. To start. I’ve played this game for a long while now.(around 3 years or maybe longer from what I can remember). Both the mobile version and pc version. So for a game that allows such creativity and flexibility especially with its community. This game is honestly cool for what it is and where it’s coming from. Now I understand that games need to be optimized and are limited to quest headsets due to quest being a more compact and mobile experience to VR. So I get that trying to make a simple sandbox game with a complex concept work with a system that is not designed for crazy graphics, codes, and wide flexibility. So getting all the details is pretty much impossible. BUT the thing I do love about this game in its entirety, is the community and their ability to create. There are some INSANELY awesome builders who put time and extreme effort and dedication into every detail of their creations. Which is something I find really cool. Yet here, it comes at a cost. The downside of have such a creative and detailed community is that since quest is so limited, not all creations are available (or able to be used without the risk of crashing). Which makes sense. Because knowing how crazy accurate builders can be when it comes to vehicles. Limiting high quality and more detailed vehicles that have a high block count, is a must in order to keep the game running smoothly. So limiting vehicles is bound to happen. This is how the MOBILE version of the game works. Higher quality creations are not restricted (nor truly limited) but instead, when downloading a creation that exceeds a certain amount of blocks will automatically display a prompt warning you that such a creation can and/or will crash your game. But still giving you the option to go through with downloading them. Thus never truly restricting you from downloading extremely detailed builds. And having a cool looking creation download and then finding out that it only crashes your game can be frustrating. ESPECIALLY when you can’t find something close to it that won’t crash your game. Another downside is the inability to create while in VR. Which would be cool but understandably a challenge. But still would be cool to have. With each version being around $10 each. It can be a real debate of whether you should or shouldn’t get the all the versions of the game. It mainly depends on what you as a player and builder enjoy and engage with the game. Now don’t get me wrong. I’ve loved this game (and will continue to love it) since the day I first got it. All because of the ability to create vehicles with either a logical and strategic plan or literally nothing but trial and error. Making this game listed as one of my personal favorites. Whether to brainstorm and create or just to play and have fun. Therefore the game is really good for how it is. Would ABSOLUTELY recommend if you’re looking for a fun way to fly and drive crazy vehicles, or even make your own. Both the PC, and the mobile versions are perfect for making really cool creations and stuff. The VR version on the other hand, is more better for just wanting to have a fun FPV using those cool creations. Overall, the VR version (especially for quest) passes along with the PC and mobile versions. With literally endless possibilities of fun,(THIS IS EXCLUDING WHEN PLAYING WITH FRIENDS! Which makes the game even more fun. Making absolutely hilarious moments inevitably. Story for another day.) this game is something that you can go to and just have a blast. Now stop reading this review, get the game, and have fun. Explore the endless builds that people have made and just enjoy the game. Thank you for taking your time to read this review. I have been playing this game for quite a long time. I noticed that it’s a fun simulator of how you have to control the plane but what would be better is if it was more realistic and have real controls that you need not just a couple. But it’s still a really good game for beginner pilots.
