Game is spectacular but not as scary.

Not as scary as people make it out to be. Sure it’s ominous, surreal and totally creepy. The scariest game I played would be Dreadhalls, so scary in fact, I couldn’t finish it. The scariest game I actually finished would be Propagation. So you can make an estimation there. This game is what I always look for in a VR game. Original. This is such a wild idea that you’re surprised there’s even a story. The story line makes a lot of sense and really gives you a reason to proceed. The creep factor is so entertaining. Squares going in and out on your periphery. Peek a booinging you and jump scaring you. Landing from above. I personally prefer creepy horror games that don’t always put you on edge. This is a comfortable experience for me. Gives me more time and nerves to actually enjoy the grandiose surroundings. This is certainly a smart game that’s loads of fun.

G R E A T

This game is insane. It scared the crap out of me so many times (still haven’t finished it). Finally getting to the colorful part felt so rewarding. But at the same time, that’s when it gets even scarier, which was genius. The whole thing feels like a “good, comfy nightmare” — but yeah… I’m a crazy person. I’ll follow this developer to the end of the world. Bravo!

The Essence of Punking Set to 3D Graphix

This game has the optics and atmosphere of a psychological thriller, but at its heart it is a maze platformer that makes you occasionally scream and feel silly for having a jolt as it employs a level design that makes the world feel ominously alive and that it's actively responding to (and messing with) you. There's an underlying sense of humor peaking through it all; I even laughed out loud on one part where it pranked my expectations. A definite recommend.

Face Your Spheres

I agree with all the positive reviews here. Definitely worth trying even in early access. I've played both levels, really enjoy them but gosh that maze at the end of level 2 doesn't want to let me pass. Has me going in circles...er I mean squares! I've mainly played the 'escape the grid' mode and it has a nice variety of abstract rooms to explore. Some are purely atmospheric, others have an 'enemy' or environmental challenge to navigate. Would like to see more rooms in the future and feel like there are almost unlimited possibilities for level design and game modes so hope the dev keeps adding more content. I actually really like the music and sound design, but it might be cool to have an option to switch off music so that players can explore these environments with their own tunes on. Smooth turn would also be good, but snap isn't really affecting gameplay for me. Would recommend to anyone looking for a liminal space / spooky / sci fi themed experience. Would also recommend to those new to vr as it has very impressive visuals with a great sense of scale and depth.

Phenomenal game! Highly recommend, especially if you're into atmospheric horror games. Who knew squares could be so scary. 😁
