OMG!

We were addicted to the Dreamcast version 20 years ago. I paid abut £200 for some second hand maracas and a Dreamcast last year to play it again but it doesn't fair well on a modern 55" TV. Then I heard Samba de Amigo was coming to VR and now it's here. And wow, is it fantastic. Any fans of the original or subsequent versions, buy this immediately. It's impossible to not smile while playing this game - happiest game ever! Edited 2 days later: The more I play, the more I love it! I wasn't quite convinced to begin with by the new motion actions on top of poses but now I'm getting into them.

First official Sega VR game!

Very joyful game, makes you happy no matter what. Even though this game-series has been around since dreamcast, the creater said: Samba De Amigo was "an appropriate title for VR" from the very beginning. I couldn't agree more, the controllers already feel like maracas! Bit of a shame about the day one dlc though. The mixed reality is cool. Segaaaaaaaa! P.s. some minor stutters, but nothing game breaking. I reminds me very much of the arcades in Japan. Frantic fun.

Honestly a lot of fun!!!

At first I was like “was this game really worth it” because I thought the levels were easy and the gameplay was basic OH HOW WRONG WAS I LOL I legit started to really get into the rhythm and the game, I thought some songs choices were eh but once I played their levels I was already so into it, some levels are pretty easy but some have a good design, I thought it was gonna be like beat saber were you gotta be fast but this game solely focuses on actual dances and I enjoyed it way more than if it was just a fast pace rhythm game and with all the modes it just makes the game feel like it was really packed with content even though their the same songs. I literally found myself actually posing and Dancing for how into it I was. I love those arcade rhyme games and this game literally captured that feeling and put it into a at home vr game I found out their are even more songs through dlc. I gotta say this is a MUST BUY!!! For the content and genuine fun of vr

Not as good as I hoped

Sorry for not being as positive as most other users appear to be. FIrst let me say that I have not tried this game in other platforms before, so there is no nostalgia factor here. What I have tried are other VR rhythm games such as beat saber and audio trip (also synth riders but I would not put that on the same level). Samba de Amigo seems to be a step below those titles, mostly because I could not feel the movements connected to the rhythm as I would expect them to be on a rhythm game. it is an average experience that needs more fine-tuning when it comes to syncing movements to the songs.
