Salsa XR is an app that helps users master the basic steps of salsa before they start dancing with partners. With Salsa XR, dancers can take as much time as they need to practice the basics. The tutorial explains how to use the app, making it feel like you're getting personalized coaching from a live person.

Key Features
XR-specific UX We developed and tested the UX to ensure the user benefits from the new environment. A user can adjust their assistant and dashboard to where it’s convenient.
Tutorial The tutorial shouldn’t be too long or too short: we need to explain all the peculiarities of the app and not get our audience bored. We tested the tutorial on people with little experience in VR/XR, and did our best to find that balance between the timing and detail.
Salsa coach The coach has human-like features: lip sync, body language, and natural leg movement. During the tutorial the coach provides a detailed explanation of how to use the app, making it feel like you're getting personalized coaching from a real person.
Language Now the app is in English, other languages are coming soon.

This app is like having a salsa teacher in your room. The UI is clear, the moves are fun, and I actually feel like I'm dancing (instead of just moving awkwardly). Perfect for someone like me who's too shy for real dance classes. I just wish there was more variety in the music — the rhythm is great, but it gets a bit repetitive.

Solid 5 stars 💃🕺. Salsa XR is fun 💞, and I love that I can customize the avatar, move it around my room, break the movements down into smaller elements. I’m really into dancing, so I hope the developers include more dance styles into the app.

I’ve completed the tutorial and repeated it multiple times, but when I click on the warm-up and dance steps, it does not work. No response at all. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app- same results. I am using a meta-quest 3 . Very disappointed. Update, per the developers request. , I reinstalled the app and tried again. Same issue after the tutorial. Nothing works at all, I click on the step cards and nothing happens

Update. I have watched the tutorial 10 times now. Finally on the last watch it seemed to work and it played the basic and rhumba steps. But when I went to the third step it failed again. I quit the app, opened it again, had to watch the tutorial again and, it didn’t work once again. It wouldn’t play anything. This app is rubbish and a waste of money. Nothing happens when I try and click on the dance steps. Isn’t the avatar supposed to teach you the steps?

Wow, Salsa XR is such an incredibly fun and exhilarating way to practice dancing! I absolutely love how I can slow down or speed up the lessons depending on how I’m feeling – it's fantastic! Honestly, the only thing that would make it even more awesome is if the app gave more detailed feedback on how I’m performing. That would be truly amazing!
