Thank you so much for bringing this to the Oculus Quest. I really did miss this game. I used to play it a while back. A few Options do not seem to be working Like smooth turning Even if you turn it on, it still snap turns Also, Advanced rope options are unavailable. The check boxes are there but you can't Get the cursor to go to the option. I feel this would be solved with A point and click Menu instead of having to use the controller to navigate the options .Thanks again For bringing my vacation spot to Oculus Quest. Can we hope for windlands 2 as well?

Hi Even in 2023 it is still ne of the most immersive experience! The only complaint I have on Quest2 is that the there is still NO NOISE around the stone tablets to collect. The stone noise around the tablets is very helpfull to locate them even when you don't see them Did you notice that ? Can you fix this please? thanks

I literally have hundreds of hours in the PCVR versions of Windlands 1 & 2. I initially played those on my Vive and despite the garbage HTC controllers, Windlands 1 became my favorite game of the early VR era. Windlands is a platformer that uses a grappling mechanic. The platforming elements are thrilling because you're high in the air and a misstep results in death (auto-respawn). The grappling mechanic is integral to gameplay. Most people liken the grappling to Spiderman--which is somewhat accurate. By default, you are only able to grapple on specific surfaces. This mechanic introduces another gameplay element because you'll often have to figure out *how* to grapple to a certain location. There is a story here that is both minimal yet full of lore. The game has you traversing fairly large maps, passing checkpoints, collecting hidden gems, etc. I have yet to explore every area of this Quest port, however, my initial impression is strongly favorable. The graphics on the original PC version were already minimal (in a stylistic manner); to my eye, these actually look a bit better. If you played the PC version, I found the Quest controls actually really good with advanced rope control. If you're a fan of the PC version I highly recommend this as the wireless gameplay is obviously a big plus. If you're new to the series and concerned about getting sick, this is one of those games you should be cautious about. If you're new to VR, this is a title that WILL develop your "VR legs"--you're high up in the clouds swinging on trees and hopping from one tiny platform to the next...it can be disorienting. All that said, this port has very robust comfort options which include: seated mode, cage mode (you move with a cage around you), various turning options. My bottom line is Windlands is a great game, and this port looks great so far. I'll update/edit my review in the event my experience/opinion changes. Oh, dev should let me playtest Windlands 2 ;)

Wind lands is the first game I ever wanted in vr. I got my first headset, original quest, in January 2020. I had been doing research for the games I wanted, and windlands was at the very top of my list. I didn’t, however, realize that windlands hadn’t yet been ported to quest. I thought they would’ve done it automatically as it seemed so straightforward to me since it was a simple but pretty style of game. I was so disappointed that I wasn’t able to get it, so I moved on. I checked every couple months to see if it had been ported yet, and it never was. But a couple weeks ago, I decided to scroll through side quest and there it was on the front page—finally. I downloaded it and the next day when I finally had some time, I played it and loved it so much. I love the journey of playing with the swinging and finding how to get up to those tricky spots and totems. I was so bummed when a couple days later I had already beat the game, and I haven’t played since as I wasn’t too interested in the timed mode. I hope we can get a port for windlands 2 to quest 2 if that’s possible, as this game deserves the second run. love you devs

Top favorite $20 ever spent on a video game. Have this on PSVR and had it on Vive years ago. In my opinion, it doesn't get better than this. It's neat to see the direction you went with Windlands 2 but a Windlands 3 made like the 1st Windlands would be phenomenal.
