Damage broke

The game is fun but literally the broken damage makes this game heavily stupid… you can throw full power punches literally the entire match and for some reason you wont even daze your opponent, but let them hit you once literally one punch!!!! And all of a sudden your dazed and knocked out, i was considering getting a refund but i know its still in early development and i did like thrill of the fight 1 , so i guess ill just not play it until they atleast update it because it’s ridiculous. Edit: ITS BEEN FULLY updated AND THE DAMAGE SYSTEM IS WORSE THAN BEFORE!!!!!!

Totf2 saved my life, literally

I’m a 47 year old who has spent over 3 years recovering after septicaemia and multiple hand surgeries on both arms forced me to stop training. I have dead nerve endings in my power arm and no tactile sensation. I literally don’t feel if I break it and had to quit using the heavy bag. I have been experiencing being very unfit for the first time in my life but finding totf2 and the world of VR has given me a second lease on life. 3 months ago I could barely lift the controller for 2 minutes and now I’m comfortable with a 6 minute round. The benefits have been improving many areas of my life

Absolute joke

I have trained muay thai, mma for long enough to know how to punch hard and the game for some reason does not reward hitting fast at all. even when on the dummy the body effort is 100%, the slower, more telegraphed punch hits much harder which is totally not realistic. I got beat up by a 140 cm goblin who was only doing big circles with his hands... Joke. I think since the new update the game became worse. I had enough for a while

ignore the dickheads

I nearly skipped this game because too many self-proclaimed boxers were panning it online. A word of advice: keep your ego in the mirror, gorgeous. My suspicion is that these critics are queuing up for Player v Player, getting systematically dismantled by twelve-year-olds, and blaming the physics engine for their wounded pride. Gentlemen, if you genuinely box, why are you playing with children online? The “it’s not realistic” complaint rather misses the point. You’re not getting hit; it’s virtual. For what it actually is, a boxing simulator working within the honest constraints of current technology, it’s remarkably well executed. Well done the developers and sorry that dickheads are giving you the bare knuckles. I’ve played the original Thrill of the Fight and enjoyed it, but this is meaningfully more immersive. Career mode in particular is excellent. For real boxers: build speed and accuracy, stay sharp between gym sessions, and avoid the inconvenience of a broken nose. And if you do insist on Player v Player? Best of luck. The other kiddos are waiting for you.

no actual boxing involved

this games been out nearly 2 years, all the have added is maps, different gloves and shorts. no real improvements has been made with their damage system. hooks are still the only way to knock people out, jabs are useless, and uppercuts are more or less impossible because the chin is practically non existent. a jab in boxing is the most useful punch, in this game, it does nothing. continuous punches to the nose with jabs should wear on the opponent, and should do more damage over time, however it does nothing, their heads just bounce back and then they’re back to normal. the game is really shocking for how long it’s been out now, it hasn’t improved or felt different at all when it comes to it’s poor vr boxing.
