I rarely write game reviews…

But as a worried mom, appreciator of excellent writing AND a lifelong gamer who uses VR to escape the hellscape that is American life these days I cannot express how much this game impressed me. Sure, I’m exhausted from capitalism and everything is a crapshow and I have no idea if my youngest will even make it out of HS thanks to guns, but this bite-sized arcade-style game really makes me feel like my 47 years of struggle and worry have not gone unnoticed by smart game developers in countries who actually give a flying crap about their citizens. If you’re a knuckle dragging, gun loving MAGA gamer, one who likely adores Andrew Tate and thinks people should arm up in a Target to buy diapers, prepare to write a “I wish I could give this zero stars” review. If you’re just exhausted and want to laugh at the absolute absurdity of American culture but you also really miss Jon Stewart, this is for you. I’ve never LOLd at a game through tears of sadness the way this has made me LOL. Kudos to the writers. You nailed it.

Very funny spoof game

I saw a one star review for this game, (only one at the time )and I read it and the guy has a stick up his butt and missed the point. The game is one big joke about the 60's and the red scare put into a game about what could have happened if we never moved on from that Era. Really loved the concept, was laughing the whole way, and generally enjoyed myself playing it. Accuracy in game was easy to control and felt very realistic. Great game 10 out of 10.

A fantastic game.

As an American, I have to say that this game is the most realistic depiction of life in the USA that I have experienced in VR. Everything from picking up toys with guns to dancing with guns to flipping burgers with guns brought back memories of my days growing up in the US of A. I don't want to say too much more because that would spoil the game, but I would like to say that the developers have done an excellent job. I was extremely surprised to learn that they are based in Australia and not the Land of the Free (TM). Bravo. Regarding the 1-star reviews I'm seeing about this game, though--do you people hate America? I'm surprised and saddened by the negativity! 'MURCA!!!

Shot and Missed

I get what the game was going for. Functionally it’s fine. It looks fine enough, though the actual firearm models and usage are Hollywood accurate. But that’s never been enough to get a review from me. What makes me not like the game is the fact that it is blatantly trying to be social commentary with no nuance to it. It tries to make points about firearms in American life without actually addressing any legitimate reasons that the average American would own a gun. Basically if I should judge it as a game, then it’s a basic on rails shooter with extremely limited firearms detail. And if it’s commentary then it’s the equivalent of scrolling Twitter for headlines then writing a political thesis. And based on the Australian production credits that me have been the extent of the research. Either way it’s shallow to the point of mind numbing. I will however give points for the American chamber flags that pop up when the magazine is empty ( and just magically disappears from the firearm). Those did get a legit chuckle out of me.

🇺🇸 Fun 🇺🇸

This game has different mechanics with lots of parody content about the lack of gun control in the US. You play a bunch of minigames with guns. Some people will get triggered because any criticism/ridicule/parody of guns makes them feel attacked, but no decent human being cares or will care about how that type of person feels, so 5/5 I will recommend it.
