Do not buy extra songs

Awesome game. But I purchased extra songs and the game keep forgetting that I did. When I wanna just grab the Quest for a quick game I can never be sure that the extra songs purchased will work or not. I'm so mad for this horrible in-app purchase management that relays on costant on-line activation THAT CANNOT BE TRUSTED I hate it and It also makes me think the day they stop supporting the online game I will loose every purchase I did, for an offline, single player game Do not buy extra songs until they change the way it works. Sorry.

Better Than Beat Saber!

I wasn't sure about this game at first since it looked like a knockoff beat saber, but I ended up liking it way more for a few different reasons. Beat Saber is in no way a bad game and I still like it, but I prefer Synth Riders First of all, I can turn down or turn off the sound effect of my controller hitting the notes which is something beat saber doesn't have. I don't want these weird sounds being made when I'm trying to hear the song. Second, I think Synth Riders has better songs (preference) but also better variety in my opinion. Having not purchased any dlc I am very happy with the amount and variety of songs included in the game. Aside from being very fun, this game has been in my rotation of active games that I use to get some exercise and usually work up a good sweat. I would definitely recommend this game to anyone who likes rhythm games and/or is looking for an active game that makes moving around fun

Love This Game

I’ve been playing this game almost every day. It’s great exercise and stress relief. I love the varied music selection. They even have Swing dance music!!! Some reviews compare this to Beat Saber as if it’s one or the other or one better than the other. They are both excellent games that while similar on the surface mechanics are actually quite different. I think both games are VR must-haves. My daily exercise routine incorporates both. I love that I move my entire body with SynthRider, and my arms have a large range of motion. I didn’t take stats off for this, but I don’t like having to bring my controllers together for the orange balls/rails. I’m worried that I will damage my controllers by accidentally smacking them together when things are happening fast. I miss a lot of the orange scores by trying to be careful. It’s annoying, but not a game breaker. 1 Year Update: I’m still loving this game after a year and use it regularly as an exercise warmup. I have all the DLC, and the Lindsey Stirling is my fave—it’s absolutely brilliant and a joy for the soul. The Swing songs are also awesome! This is really fun to play with friends, too. The devs keep updating and improving the game. I appreciated the free holiday song and all the new customizations and backgrounds, which keep the game fresh. Thanks! Also, the orange balls are no longer a problem; you get used to them. UPDATE: Several years later! 2025: This is still one of my favorite go-to games. Devs, I just did BEES!!! The April Fools Challenge. This made my whole week. I laughed so hard the whole time I was doing it. For anyone reading this, it’s up until April 15–do it! Thank you, Devs, for going above and beyond almost every holiday with a free fun treat. You work so hard to keep this game fresh, and I really appreciate it. I love you! I have all the DLCs and they are all gold.

Really fun app but such a money grab

I really love the concept of this app and I have tons of fun playing it but the amount of money they charge just to play anything that isn’t the awful base songs they offer is insane. It’s already stupid expensive for the game itself, the platform (VR headset) and now they want more money just for 1 extra song?!? Such a rip off.

Enjoyable Movement

I’ve been using this game to get some basic movement and exercise. Still learning and almost exclusively on “easy” mode. I will admit that at 65, a lot of the included music isn’t something I know (where’s my 70’s Gold?). However, I’ve found some I like and don’t mind playing on repeat. I get bored with exercise and usually just quit, but this game makes it fun and I find my “scheduled” time running out before I’m ready to stop.
