Five stars, but…

…please add a viewport window to the ceiling. I like how Ocean Rift mixed reality covers my ceiling fan and light with a window into the ocean outside. Something similar would go a long way in adding to the immersion. That said, I’ve played over an hour and I’m having TONS of fun. Thank you for a great game. Looking forward to more!

Where are the UPDATES?

Devs pushed out two updates very close to release and said "We'll see you in 2025 with more exciting updates!" and an entire year plus goes by and no updates even on the beta channel. A target demographic is one thing, promising updates and not delivering on them is ridiculous.

I don't like taking care of plants

This had me taking constant care of not 1, not 2, but 3 plants before I gave up. It wasn't for me. Obsessively watering and fertilizing and pulling weeds. And to not even be rewarded for that to be able to go outside and explore the planets. Being in MR in my small apartment while pretending to be in a spaceship going through space doesn't do a thing for me either. But I didn't try to find out if I could maybe change that somewhere in settings. I was too busy taking care of plants.

Great concept, well executed

Starship Home definitely sets a high bar for MR games. You start with one object to place in the room, and by the end of the game you have 15, all of them animated and even interacting with each other. The story is sort of spoon-fed, and the characters are a little silly. I can see my 8YO granddaughter enjoying this game just as much as I did. It also helps that I enjoy raising plants, as you acquire one shortly after starting the game and end up with more than half a dozen (all of which need water, the right kind of fertilizer, and some occasional weeding). It's the major task of the game, and gets a little stressful sometimes trying to keep all of them happy at the same time. That was fun for me! I really appreciated the hint at the end of returning to each planet, which I haven't done yet but plan to! I'm looking forward to more MR games from Creature.

Best Mixed Reality Game Ever!

Where other MR games come off feeling like a tech demo, this is a real game, and a fantastic adventure. Never thought I'd have so much fun taking care of plants 😂 Check out my YouTube channel for a full review and actual gameplay footage.
