Super groovy fun!

Ok, so I read the reviews and heard the hype and couldn't imagine what this game was until I finally played it, and oh man, let me tell you, they were not over exaggerating. This thing is really cool! So I have been looking for games that tax my mind and hand/eye coordination, etc. as I suffered a stroke during the pandemic, and had to do all of my verbal and physical rehab by myself. I actually did much of it in VR through the use of different apps. (Let me tell ya...trying for headshots only on zombies can be very rehabilitating,lol.) Although I was fortunate enough to be able to come back pretty well, there's still some hiccups every so often that I get thinking maybe I need to start doing some word searches, or crosswords, or something to tax the ol' noggin' lol. So this game is absolutely perfect to add to my little rehab arsenal because the thought you have to put into this to figure out the timing of the rotations and the size of the passageways and how quickly you can get through it, etc. really has you concentrating. If you need to get your mind off of something, and feel like challenging yourself, this will do the trick. Another thing that's nice about it is it also serves as a calming bit of stress relief as well. And I'll be honest the music is awesome, but unfortunately, it doesn't always lend itself to the most calming and stress-free moments as you're trying to race the clock and get through to the goal. So what I did was turn the music off, play some soft ambient tunes and not worry about the time so I could just really enjoy the process of working through this beautiful environment, as well as when I have it sitting in my own room in front of me. I found I really preferred not trying to better my times but rather just gently breathe and enjoy being in the moment. It's Zen at its best. So look guys, if you want something to kinda take you away from things for a bit, especially if you don't have loads of time to go on crusades to hunt for treasure or shoot zombies, you can do some of these pretty quickly, and then move onto the next one, and go as far as your time allows and come back to continue on to the next later! Give it a go folks, you'll have a great time!

Chill vibe game

Trippy unique puzzle game. The graphics are even better than the videos show, you can set it for mixed reality with cool effects on your walls, or full vr that teleports you to a different dimension. The controls are really smooth and precise. I like the vibe this game has with the psychedelic puzzle god guiding you on the journey. Cant wait to see what other games this dev outs out

Great VR Puzzle Game

I really enjoyed Squingle, it makes great use of VR. If you're into Puzzle games, and like the look of it, get it! As any good Puzzle game does, It starts off easy enough, and ramps up. I had to replay a few levels towards the end, improving my score to unlock the last two campaign worlds, as it gets pretty tough. But if you do get really stuck, the game can offer hints on where to go. I also found that a change of perspective can usually help work out those paths. You can customise a lot in this game, including the size of the puzzles, which is a great feature if you're using a smaller play space. I preferred to play on maximum size in mixed reality, and move the puzzle around to fit my space, as I progressed through the various checkpoints. Bhaptics support is also well done, providing feedback when you're close to, or taking damage. This reminded me a lot of the boardgame "Operation". Put your kids in this setup for further entertainment :) After completing the main game. There are (currently) two additional worlds that unlock, each with even more puzzles to complete. So lots of content. I've got nothing negative to say, highly recommended!

Chill vr experience, but no puzzles

It’s a well-made experience to zone out and waste time, but as a huge fan of 3d puzzles, I couldn’t find a single one in Squingle. It’s more a test of dexterity if you try speedrunning levels. It’s similar to the game Operation, but relaxing instead of anxiety inducing. 😂 Not a bad experience, but I expect puzzles to require some sort of thought to complete or do well, even if only minimally. Mechanics are interesting, but implemented quite slowly and never present any difficulty leaving you doing lots of busy work while you wait for the puzzle to start. I didn’t 100% the game, but after over 50 levels, I gave up on ever seeing a puzzle. I was bored to tears the whole time. (Yes I got the three petals crown thing on all the levels I did do. It was very easy despite me having hand tremors, so don’t worry if you have poor coordination due to ill health. You can still play just fine.) I wish they used the foundation to make actual difficult or more interesting mazes. The axial spin shift was particularly promising, but alas, I was just left bored and doing obvious tasks and busy work. Very chill zone-out and turn off your brain app though. Probably not for me. Perhaps if you are a small child or very very very bad at spatial reasoning it could be interesting. Edit to respond to devs: Squingle certainly does not “balance difficulty” in any way and I was in no way satisfied since there is literally zero difficulty. Last I checked I was a type of player. I am not an expert anything and I absolutely did not have an “incredible time”. I acknowledge that I may be in the minority, but you cannot gaslight me into liking your game. That’s insane. You’re just making baseless assertions directly contrary to my entire experience without listening to genuine feedback. And as for your claim that the game starts to become interesting in the last 20%, even if that is true, it is absolutely not worth the time waste of the first part being pointless mind-numbing busy work. Anyone who is interested in using their brain will have died of boredom by the time you get to the part that could actually draw people in. Allegedly. Again, I can see my opinion is not universal but for the life of me I cannot see how. I did not insult you or say it’s a badly made app. I tried to point out its good points. But you cannot pretend that it’s some interesting puzzler when it lacks any sort of challenge or forethought. The disregard and dishonesty is even more off-putting than the original experience, but you’ve made it clear that I am not the intended audience. A shame, since I actually love 3d puzzles. Good day.

Squingle All The Way

After playing Squingle Mini almost a month ago, I finally got the chance to get my hands on the full version and run through all 100 levels. From beginning to end, I would estimate it took me 8+ hours to complete, with some of the more complex levels being taking me over the 10 minute mark to get to the goal. You have several settings you can unlock and mess around with, ranging from what is becoming more standard, Mixed Reality and Hand Tracking options, to eventually being able to select the scale of the maze to 2x speed. Now I played seated, so I immediately put my scale as small as I could get it to make things a little easier to manoeuvre,but I did briefly take a look at what scale looks like at 100% and it's huge, you'll definitely need to be a standing player for that. I also think if you're a person who likes to be top of the leaderboards, standing is the way to go to get those fast run times. But if you just want to chill,enjoy the bright psychedelic colours and play a fun unique puzzle game, I recommended you check out Squingle.
