I was waiting for this time

Most of the reasons I bought Oculus were to improve my work But as of January, there were no apps that would make work a great experience... Recently, virtual conferencing apps have begun to appear, but none of them are realistic... The time has finally arrived... Today is the time when I was most impressed with the purchase of the Oculus quest. Simply amazing, BUT…

Really loved it when started to building up my own VR gallery, as a photographer, I though found the best of the best to showcase my art online and virtually, it really looks amazingly beautiful and easy to set up your own space, But, it makes no sense when no one can get access to your library after follow all the instructions to make it accessible and after all that, only you can visit it, in makes no sense when it is not public, even when you created a portal to access it in a public gallery, it makes no sense when after the last App update you lost your environments you had worked so hard and put so much effort. Really disappointed. It could be a great success, because it was unique, no other app get even close to this concept, sad. A sugestión for future updates, link access to every photo so you can see their info for sales.

Most amazing VR app ever! Mind-blowing!

This is by far the most amazing virtual reality experience out there. Imagine being able to Google something, and just reaching into your Google results and physically grabbing whatever you want and bringing it into your room. Well you can do that here. You get "results" that are not only 2D but 3D. And you can take the 3D results and keep them as objects in your room. Or/and you can reach out and take a 2D image and bring it into your room and it looks like a gorgeous image on thick glass. Some employees of Spatial were doing a little demonstration the first or second day of the launch a few days ago and there was a kid who joined and after a few seconds they provided him with the mirror, and he exclaimed, “Whoah, it looks exactly like me! This is the BEST GAME EVER!!” My husband and I have a writing group and since the pandemic we meet on Zoom. I’m going to try to get our group to meet us on Spatial instead of Zoom, even though they don’t have VR headsets. We’ll still all have 2D videos of ourselves and of the members but there will also be a little 3D versions of me and my husband in the room and they will be able to see, on their laptops, those little versions of my husband and me position the videos of them around the room. Oh, and I almost forgot to mention one of the most amazing things, which was what the kid was so amazed about: to create your avatar, you upload a normal 2D image of yourself, and it creates a 3D representation of you that looks like you and moves as you move, and lip-synchs you. And they’ve included hand tracking as well, so you don’t need to use your controllers, you can grab those Google results with your real hands and make them as big as you want! And you can draw in air like in Tilt Brush, and move your 3D drawing around and enlarge it or shrink it as much as you want. They’ve included everything! I don’t understand why Oculus is not displaying this app more prominently under “New arrivals". Is it just because it's free?

Very exited about the future

I am very excited by what this technology can bring and the first time I tried it there was a virtual cocktail hour hosted by your company. It was amazing. I was chatting to people so around the world as if I was next to them. The avatar needs work but you soon forgot about that. Anyway, I came back a a few times after that and never did I see the cocktail lounge again which was sad. I don’t know many people with headsets so I quickly lost interest. This has huge potential and I can’t wait to see this go mainstream.

The future is here with Spatial

I love Spatial! I have been fortunate to be able to beta test and to be a part of their Early Release program for several months and I am continually amazed with each build. I have used Spatial on Quest, HoloLens, and Magic Leap headsets and it is a consistently great experience every time. XR collaboration is the future, especially when our society is forced to be on a lock-down. I highly recommend this application!
