Got hit with a huge rock and loved it.

Don’t believe the negative reviews you read. RUMBLE is known to have a very steep learning curve. It is difficult to play at first but after some practice you unlock the real game. Most beginners get upset about this and leave poor reviews, but if you ask anyone who has played the game for more than a few hours they will instantlyreccpmdong it because in my opinion it is the perfect game. Some to know BEFORE YOU BUY: This game as a steep skill curve, when you first learn a move, like summoning a rock, it is easy because the game guides you. When the guides are taken away it is easy to mess up. This game is difficult to learn, it makes you feel like you need to train like a real earthbender and is very rewarding when you figure it out. If you see anything online or meet and advanced player you see what practice gets you, it is the most inspiring game I have played in that regard. This game is super well polished. Despite being in beta everything is made with intention, you won’t find anything that feels out of place.

RUMBLE review and beginner tips

RUMBLE is to me the best VR game in existence. I have spent about 800 hours in this game on PC and Quest combined, and I can easily see myself playing this for at least the next 10 years. This is the type of game made for VR. There is no possible way this could ever exist as a flatscreen game. It truly makes you exercise and has been amazing for my stamina and general health. It also has an extremely friendly community and lots of tournaments, and might one day become a huge E-sports title. It also feels more like an actual martial arts than 'just a game'. Some tips: - RUMBLE is hard. It's learning curve is like climbing an overhanging cliff without any climbing experience. Then at the top you reach the highest rank, black belt/mountain. Only to realise that was only the tutorial and still have to climb all the way to Mount Everest. - Muscle memory is not gained in a single day. Sleep is important in the learning process, that's when your brain makes new neural connections based on your practice. What feels near impossible today, is going to be easier tomorrow. - The community is filled with teachers that love to assist you in this journey. Ask them ingame with holding A for push to talk, or set the mic to open in the settings. And join the discord communities for more help. - It's not the tracking that is broken, it is your poses that are slightly off, even if you think you did the right pose. We all started overconfident, you need time to learn. - Hand rotation is more important than hand position. - Slow and smooth motions are way better for accuracy and consistency, which in turn helps you to speed up. - Your head is also part of the pose and poses only work if you aim them forward towards your target, the opponent. - At the matchmaker, play with 'all ranks', you learn faster from an experienced teacher than a fellow beginner. Finding low ranked beginners is way harder. - The most active regions in order are US east, Europe, Australia and US west.

Amazing Game

I have played the PCVR version for around 500 hours, I can say that this is the best £20/$25 I have ever spent, the community is nice and the gameplay is like no other VR game or flat screen game out there. The game is difficult to begin with but if you stick with it your skill will grow to levels you couldn't imagine you could. Elements Divided I see compared to it, but the only similarity is that it's based on the elements. Do not be discouraged to play by RUMBLE only having 1 element because RUMBLE's depth in that 1 element is way higher than all of Elements Divided's elements combined.

It's a martial art

That was my first thought when I first played this game 1.5 years ago, and you know what? It's still accurate. Playing RUMBLE feels like learning a new martial art (at least, it's similar to my karate experience). You struggle, you fight, you get tired, you try to build your muscle memory, and... You have fun. It's genuinely the most fun I've ever had playing a video game, it never gets old. It's a hard game. I've been playing for a long time, and I still have a lot to learn, because the game has so much to offer. It takes dedication, and yes if you have a job (like many of us do), it's going to take months to get to a decent level. But we have teachers, sparring partners, and a lively community on discord. The community is probably the biggest strength of this game! We often say "skill issue" as a joke because EVERYONE has a skill issue. This game requires you to learn a skill that no other game taught you, and it's frustrating at first. It feels like it's the game's fault when a move doesn't register, but it isn't, you just rotated your hand wrong. And if you keep training for just a few days, you start to understand, to *feel* it. You become one with rock. You are learning earthbending, and it's a martial art. Also the Quest standalone release is so good, the devs did an awesome job on the optimization while keeping the game pretty. It even runs smoothly on Quest 2. True magic.

Great game, amazing community

Been an earthbender for almost a year now with 500+ hours, and all I can say is it's probably the best game I've picked up in terms of self-improvement and health. Hope to see more content next year, here's to another year of Rumble. 🥳
