A different take on VR immersion!

I pre-ordered this game because the trailer was well put together, and it looked like something different than anything available on the Quest so far. It was released a little over an hour ago, and I only stopped playing to take a break and write this review. Cost: 5 stars - I would have paid twice as much for this game. Worth every penny Graphics: 5 stars - The devs put this together beautifully. They put the detail where it needs to be. Story: 5 stars - The game jumps you right in and the story just flows and draws you in perfectly. Immersion: 5 stars - the game comes together seemlessly, with the graphics, story, controls, characters, and use of VR. This isn't a full locomotion type of experience. I've been sitting on my couch comfortably. Yet the VR is critical in making this game what it is. The view is 3rd person and 1st person at the same time; you are remotely hacked into the environment, security cameras are your eyes, and you are the main characters eyes. You direct her, and you'll need every camera view to see every angle, to know what's ahead. Some things you can directly interact with by hacking. some, you interact with using Hope. The object is to NOT get caught, to avoid detection and be a ghost. If I were to compare this to any other game, I would say Metal Gear (the classic) combined with Hitman in VR. You're playing 2 people at once, and you can feel them each independent yet seemless. Great job, devs. I don't think the newness will wear off for a while.

To the people who hate the final chapter

I don’t understand why so many people are hating on this game just because chapter 5 is unplayable. If you hate this game because of the game itself and not solely because of chapter 5 then I’m completely fine with that. But to the people who do hate it solely because of chapter 5, I have a message for you: Why? Just because chapter 5 is unplayable doesn’t mean it’s a 1 star by default. Everything else about the game (at least to me) is phenomenal, and your crying about it just because of a single chapter? You clearly liked the game enough to play through the whole thing, which mind you is 8 hours long minimum, so why are you hating on it? You may make the argument that, ‘Chapter 5 being unplayable ruined my experience and I don’t get to see, mainly play, the end of Hope’s story’, to which, although I agree, (at least the second part) doesn’t mean the game is a one star. I’m not saying that chapter 5 being unplayable isn’t bad, that is a problem they need to fix, which is why I’m giving it a four star. NOT A ONE. Speaking of which, some of you have been saying the developers “don’t care about this game”. Do you even KNOW about the dev logs? There are dev logs hidden throughout the entire game that you can enable in the settings menu and share little pieces of the games production. Does that sound like developers that don’t care? Hell, the first dev log of every chapter includes the whole crew thanking the player for playing this far into the game. Not to mention the entire game is a tribute to classic stealth games, such as Metal Gear Solid. Again, does THAT sound like a dev team that doesn’t care? Sure, they made a mistake In chapter 5 (which I don’t understand how slipped past development), but that doesn’t mean they don’t care. No one seems to even consider the fact that THE GAME IS FREE. Sure not on the quest, but just go to the oculus app and switch to the Rift’s games and you’ll have it. They didn’t have to make it free, they could have just priced it at 9.99 and called it a day. But they didn’t. They decided to make it free so more people could enjoy and experience their game, which I bet some of you did. This game was made out of love, and I’m sure all the backlash took them harshly. So next time you rate a game a 1 star solely because the last segment doesn’t work, think we’ll and hard on if it’s a fair judgement. Thank you for listening to my TedTalk.

Irritating to say the very least

I'm tired of devs blocking the ability to cast their games, it's extremely bad customer service. I don't care if the game is decent, if it does not cast I will give it 1 star and advise all against it, vr is mostly a solo experience that will remain in the dark to alot of people due to this selfish constraint, the ability to cast can bring a game to a group experience and allow people that have little to no experience in vr to see, and learn.

This is free?????? It is too good !

I just played this game for an hour, and it’s absolutely incredible! If you're into shooters or action-packed games, this one might not be for you. It’s a stealth game that makes you think, and it's like nothing I've ever experienced before! You take on the role of a guide, helping a brave girl escape from a sinister facility while sneaking past guards. The thrill of hiding and strategizing is so unique and exhilarating—I'm hooked!

I love this game but like most other people, im 50 to 60 percent in and the longest cutscene ever It crashes and get kicked out of the game. I'm gutted I would have given this five stars but I really cant bring myself to keep watching the same scene over and over again .please can you fix these bugs
