What are we doing?

I'm sorry, but just what was the thought process behind this game? You guys had a decently solid base with Gun Raiders, and yet for some reason you decided to ditch everything that worked and replace it with discount Gorilla Tag. This game genuinely feels awful to control, the trailer doesn't even scratch the surface of just how unintuitive it feels. And that doesn't even mention the other issues with this game. The lack of a tutorial, the options menu not being something you can just pull up, the way in-game currency is needed for nearly everything, the horribly inconsistent art direction, the fact that the face buttons aren't used for anything (as far as I'm aware). It's like a reverse Gun Raiders, like everything from its admittedly solid foundation was snapped away and replaced with the opposite. I always figured this team could make a decent solo/co-op game based on their design philosophy, but not like this. Just what happened that lead to the game being this way? Update: My arms hurt. Update 2: I got banned from both of their Discord servers for this review (Probably. Idk what else they'd ban me over since I don't even talk much.) Update 3: They bricked my copy of the game too, you guys are really bad at taking criticism. Response to dev response: I never even mentioned the voice moderation once in this review (which to be honest I probably should've). I did drop a few swears to see if it was active in this game too out of morbid curiosity and ended up getting a ten minute voice ban, but never did I direct any of it at anyone. The vagueness of your response along with the explicit mentions of harassment and hate speech make it obvious what you're trying to do, and I don't appreciate you attempting to frame the situation in a false light to make it look like this review was about something completely unrelated. Making vague accusations doesn't suddenly make this situation look any better on your part, please learn to take criticism.

Off to a great start!

I have tried other games with the arm swinging locomotion and nothing stuck but this game clicked for me. The movement you get from the different weapons adds a TON to the game. It feels great to fling yourself off something, fire a rocket for height, shoot a flamethrower to hover, and then grab a zipline to zoom to the objective. Chaining everything together just right is super rewarding. There are a lot of different objectives and variation in the maps to keep it fresh. I will definitely be back!

One of the worst gaming experiences

Every minute felt like a test of my patience. I kept waiting for it to get better but it just kept finding ways to disappoint me. I would not recommend it unless your favorite hobby is questioning your life choices. Most repetitive game i have ever played trying to tap into a slop genre but still fails some how.

Fun party game with the squad

I’m not a fan of pretty much every arm locomotion game on vr so I was skeptical going into this but I must say the amount of fun I was having playing with everyone actually surprised me, the gun raiders elements in the game are like the cherry on top, squading up with randoms and just mowing down endless amounts of enemies was the most fun I’ve had in ages on vr. If you like party games and killing bugs I would highly recommend raider legends

Great game with a lot of potential

This game is off to a great start and could even be a top 5 free VR game of all time in the future. The Good: I really enjoy the gun play and the sound design. They have done a great job making sure that the weapons from Gun Raiders easier to use with the movement limitations given to us (from Jetpack and legs to GT movement). The idea of weapons giving momentum and speed is a great addition. The boss fights are amazing, having you and 7 other players fight Gort and Raven is a blast. The enemies are great and pretty charming despite being Unity Assets. I also love the unique modes the game circulates through such as Target, Race, Boss, Extract, Banana Cart, and Ring Race. These are amazing game modes and everyone that I know from the first time playing them looked forward to getting them. The Bad: I noticed some players struggling trying to find their footing in the game. They usually needed another player to help them understand, I feel like a tutorial would benefit the game greatly. The progression system is a bit slow and could use some tweaking, as well as the loot pool. Despite most of the gamemodes being great overall, there are a few that just are not for me (Crystal Defense and Defend the Fort) while these gamemodes are not bad they could use some adjusting for the amount of players with the time limit (especially solo). I also feel like there should be a “vote to end” on the races once everyone finishes a race, kinda like in Battle Royale in Gun Raiders where if all players step on a pad, they can start the game early. Overall this game is amazing, even with the little hiccups that come with it. I would love to see more in the future within the next coming weeks of this game. I hope that this game strives to be the best it can be and become a smash hit. This game does deserve the 5 star rating in my opinion.
