Developers stripped away games in favor of DLCs and renamed the game "Classic" AFTER it was already purchased. Apparently they feel they can do whatever they want after they have your money. They also came out with a new version called Pinball FX VR heavily favoring expensive DLCs. Honestly, I don't mind adding more tables to my game's library through DLCs, but not at their cost, and certainly not for a bait and switch developer. I wouldn't trust these guys at Zen Studios at all. Boo! 👎

Great Tables, Terrible Value!

Okay, let’s get this out of the way. The tables are good, and the physics are great. If you want to walk around with some portable pinball machines, this game will be right up your alley. But there are some issues. First of all, the value proposition is just ridiculous. You only get three tables with the base game, and the DLC packs cost more than the base game, and since you’re only getting three out of a total of 12 tables it kind of feels like you just paid $14.99 for a quarter of the available content. It feels like the base game should’ve been released as freemium content, then it would’ve been okay to include only three out of twelve tables and ask us to pay more to try out the rest. As it now stands, if you want a complete set, you’ll have to pay another FIFTY ONE dollars on top of the $15 you already paid, making this (if you want the ‘complete’ game) - a $66 dollar purchase. I think that’s kind of insane. Now for the gameplay, like I said, the physics are good, but the game hardly takes advantage of motion controls. Why do I push a button to launch balls rather than pull the launcher? Why do I push a button to nudge the table rather than just grab and nudge the table? Details like this make it seem like a thoughtless port, and the cost of the DLC’s make it seem like a cash grab.

Meh...

Not happy with this purchase whatsoever, while the tables included are good fun to play the whole VR aspect apart from 3D is non existent apart from floating animations and to make it worse there are only three tables in the base game; all the ones I want to play or that look interesting are extremely expensive. I would understand if the base game itself was free and we pay for additional tables but this is just down right greedy! There is no interaction with the tables by way of hands just controller buttons; I was expecting to pull release and physically push paddle buttons somehow and shove the machine to nudge but it's not meant to be, it may as well be played on a console. Also the text on the menus are off and overlap other menu buttons which just makes it look unfinished.

Loved this but then,…

I really loved playing this but 2 of the 3 games disappeared, and now there is only one game for the price and the additional games are $10 a piece. Why were the 2 removed? It made the price of the game worth it, but now I’m just disappointed.
