Operation Warcade

We just released an Operation Warcade update for Quest offering 90fps and 30% more resolution in both the full version and the Demo. Soon we will release similar updates for 2076 Midway Multiverse, Pangman, Touring Karts, and Beat Blaster.

Significant step down from Steam version

I have the Steam version of this game and it plays very smoothly with Virtual Desktop. I saw that the Quest-native version was on sale and figured I'd snag it to save me a little time when I want to play it. Sadly, it is a BIG step down in graphical quality. There is far less in terms of environmental elements on the screen, the colors are washed out and dull, and the texture maps for everything (vehicles, trees, soldiers, etc.) are incredibly bland in comparison to the Steam version. Graphically, it's on par with a low end Nintendo 64 game. I hope that the developers are still optimizing this game, and if they can get it close to the quality of the Steam version, I'd give this game 5 stars without hesitation, as the gameplay itself is still a lot of fun.

An 80s throwback that is so much fun.

I loved the NES game Operation Wolf and this reminds me of that. The game is a lot of fun to play. The variety of weapons and "immersion" makes this a must-have game for people that like arcade shooters from back in the day

Wow.

Wow, one more greeeeaaaat game from ivanovich. You have understand what VR is. I love 1976 and now you have topped it. The Mini games are so immersiv. And it seems, that 2076 is in the Pipeline? :-) thumbs up. Great game developement studio.

Would have gotten 4 stars…

… but it’s too glitchy… Compared to the PCVR version, the standalone version looks like you’re looking through dirty lenses… everything is cloudy and hazy, making for an uncomfortable viewing experience. The flying and bow/arrow mechanics are atrocious… also the game cheats… on some missions where I’m supposed to blow up multiple enemies with a single grenade… I never get credited for doing it… it asks for 5, I blow up six+ and it STILL tells me I didn’t pass… also, I’ll rescue hostages only to have them jump off ships or get run over by vehicles… replayabiliy should be based on fun not replaying to try to beat frustratingly flawed goals… the PCVR has the same issues, but at least I can SEE

My favorite VR game

I've had this game on PCVR for years. I have both the Steam and Oculus PC versions and like the last reviewer, both have those green 1's and 0's raining at all times, weird to hear the playstation version also suffered. It still looks great and plays well on PC though even with the green binary rain. I'm really loving the game all over again on my Quest's. I have both Quest 1 and 2 and I'm torn as to which one it looks better on. The graphics of course don't compare to the PC version, but the gameplay is still there. I think with Oculus's upcoming ASW implementation and possibly AMD's FSR, Operation Warcade has the potential to be the best game on Quest with 2076 being a close second.
