Way Overpriced for What It Is

Moss is one of my absolute favorite VR games. I couldn’t wait for the sequel! When I saw the $40 price tag, I thought, “Wow! They must have put a ton of work into this. The graphics and game mechanics must have had a massive overhaul to warrant such a price hike!” But then you start the game and realize it looks and plays identical to the first game. Absolutely NOTHING has been improved. It’s just more of the same. And while that’s not bad because the first game was so great, it’s disappointing to see such a high price tag on a sequel that the developers just lazily phoned in. tl;dr No improvement, just more of the same from the first one.

Oh my dear God!

erm.. I don't really have any words for this. I had previously played the demo and loved the look and feel of it, it does not do what it is like to play the actual game justice. Anyone that has a meta quest needs to see what this game is like. it's the kinda game that defines how story driven platform games should be made in VR. Thank you for having created this.

One of the best games in VR

The first game was already great, but this one is a masterpiece. Before playing it, I thought it was just a continuation of the story of the first game (which would already be great) but the game also adds a lot of stuff. There are different weapons, different puzzles that make use of the weapons, some very cool boss fights, and we can even play with a different character at some point in the story. Everything is extremely polished like in the first game, with pretty good soundtrack, great storytelling, and great graphics. I never thought I'd like so much of a platformer in VR, but the Moss series is absolutely mandatory for anyone with a VR headset.

Basically perfect

I can’t find a single fault with Moss 2. It builds on the near-perfection of the first game, removing the tiny frustrations that made it only near-perfect. I suppose a “hardcore gamer” might protest that it’s not challenging enough, but for me the difficulty level of both combat and puzzles in Moss 2 is just right. And when you do die in combat, or fall off a cliff edge, you generally only go back a few seconds to retry (the way ALL games should be). The story telling is even grander and more impressive in this sequel. Was fully invested in Quill’s adventure from start to finish. Please bring us Moss Book 3!

I Wasn’t Ready for It to Be This Good

I thought Book 1 exceeded my expectations… but Book 2 somehow surpassed it even more. They really elevated the experience and, in my opinion, made it even better than the first one. The expanded abilities and variety of environments are honestly mind-blowing. Everything feels more imaginative, more layered, and more refined. The graphics are absolutely beautiful. Some of the best I’ve seen in VR. The world feels so alive and immersive! I also really appreciate that the puzzles are challenging without being frustrating. I’m not someone who usually plays RPG-style games, but this series works for me because it’s engaging without being overwhelming. I’m so glad I avoided watching the full trailer because experiencing everything as a surprise made it even more magical. I won’t say too much to avoid spoilers, but if you truly enjoyed the first game, this is absolutely worth it. I really hope they release a Book 3 or something similar (not Glassbreakers), because this kind of immersive adventure is exactly what I’m looking for.
