To much hate for good games!

I had a great time playing this game. I feel a lot of the hate is just haters, wanting to dis on something, and that's just the way people get attention online today. What they don't understand is, the more they dis on great games, the less great games will be made, and it just makes them look dumb and gameless. Learn to play something with a flaw here and there. I'll do you good! That said, I thought this was a great game. I might even play it again.

Must buy!

I wasn't really sure what to expect as a newcomer to the series, but any expectations were exceeded! The story was engaging and went in directions I didn't expect. The environments can get a tad repetitive, but there's a bit of a story reason for that. The guns were all satisfying, and I like that they went a more "arcadey" with reloads. Not every game has to have you insert bullets into the clip one-by-one, lol. The enemies aren't too varied, but I found all encounters to be suspenseful without being too terrifying. Except for the spiders. Horrifying. The music was also really good, and the voice actors did a superb job! I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a good, story-driven experience that doesn't mind a spooky atmosphere and a few tense moments.

Not as great as it first appears

I've just completed this and wasn't very impressed overall. The story was quite bizarre and hard to follow at times. The game was great at building tension and anxiety but ultimately there was little action. The game consists of a LOT of walking around looking for ammo with very little in the way of enemies which is a real shame because I loved sneaking around in the dark and picking them off when they appeared. I did like the unique weaponry and the way you reload them, they really had that DIY feel about them. I appreciate the game is designed to be dark and creepy, but it made it really difficult to navigate at times. I just completed the incredible Resident Evil 4 before this so it was quite a step down.

⭐GREATEST AAA VR GAME MONEY CAN BUY⭐

Wowzers, the graphics are phenomenal, really good job on that, like the atmosphere and immersion. The story is actually interesting for once and not shallow at all, with actual funny, real, well thought out characters and great voice acting with their thick russian accents sometimes making me laugh. Plus the horror/action aspect is really fun but yet scary. Such as lurker holes burrowed around constantly keeping you on their toes, and the constant dark There are also fun details like wearing gas masks, checking ammo and powering your own flashlight. All those little bits make you feel like you're in a movie and yet also just super immersed. PRO TIPS Always make sure your vials are loaded so you don't die and DON'T STOP AT CHAPTER 1 KEEP GOING I SEE SO MANY SAYING ITS SLOW-PACED ITS NOT!!! Anyways, I hope this review helped.

pretty good experience. game tho…?

As i said in the title thiz is a genuinely great experience. you’ll find yourself incredibly immersed and you’ll also find yourself to feel like you yourself are also going crazy along with Serdar. I thoroughly enjoyed my time playing this game. now on the other hand there were many things wrong with the gameplay and story. pros -decent gunplay -immersion -pretty decent stealth despite the lack of it being fleshed out -good enemy variety -good weapon variety cons -long unskippable cutscenes. -Serdar’s wife is one of the most unlikable characters i’ve ever seen -enemy ai is lacking. mutants just run around and attack you and humans are either brain dead or spot you from a mile away -combat is always either a group of humans that you can ambush or it’s a waves of monsters running at you. -general lack of content and combat
