This game is ruining my life... 10/10

Start my day at the mansion I won in a speedball tournament with a coffee and vape overlooking Meta City before heading to the Tech sector to check up on my apartment and get a little plant-based vape. Then I'm off to the Police HQ to start my duty shift. After being Deckard in BR for an hour or two, I clock off duty, hit up an air car race, maybe catch a speedball game from the VIP seating, then head to my Zen sky loft for a decompressing martini. Then back home for a whiskey and the view. This game is actively removing me from irl. 10/10 and constantly improving with a hands on dev. Norainu and Alioth are legends.

THE Nightride game right here

If you understand nightride vibes then this game is a no brainer. A must own. If you are looking for GTA or PVP PVE then you come to the wrong place. This is about endless dreary rainy nights, cruising around the neon lit Blade Runner inspired city as droplets run down your windshield , patrolling in between calls from HQ to neutralize rogue skinjobs, pick up and deliver important evidence, confiscate illegal guns, flying vehicle chases with your lights and siren blazing...(other stuff too, I am not deep enough in the game yet.) Then there's the off duty time where you grab some ramen at a street food vendor, purchase upgrades, take in a movie, hang out at the club and knock back a few cocktails. Time to hit the sack, wake up to some much needed coffee and a cigarette before punching in for another days work. This small dev team delivers some of the best flight mechanics, smooth frames, synthwave tunes, an absorbing immersive atmosphere, and an entire city to cruise around where you can actually touch down in an almost seamless way to the bustling pedestrian filled streets and alleyway locations in various districts below. It's a world where you are free to roleplay and live out your electric dreams. Bravo to this dev team who are more passionate than most on this store. This game is a love letter

Best game hands down, I have suggestions

Hey guys I love the game so much. The police missions are awesome and I really like the vibes. It’s so cool how you can buy living space or go to the movies. I have a few suggestions. 1. Graphics The graphics are already pretty good and nice. I think it would look better if you added kind of like a bloom effect or something like that. I also like the idea of reflections on the ground. 2. Body I think it would be so much cooler to have a full body than floating hands(just arms would also work) 3. Train I would love to ride the train 4. More missions 5. Better NPC It feels like they are robots. You should make them more intractable or better animations Thank you guys so much for this game. I really enjoy it. I am about to check out the new update. Keep up the good work!

Tonnes of potential...

Normally, I don't give any reviews until I've 100% completed a game but with one, I'll make an exception. The main reason is that I'm fully aware that this project just started off as a single dev which is now two with a few of other folks sometimes chipping in. What they've achieved thus far for such a small dev team is quite extraordinary, really. I rarely give 5 star reviews as that means in my eyes that a game has to be close to perfect but I give the dev 5 star for their effort so far. In the short time I played, I whizzed around the cyber cityscape in my hover car, messing around with the controls and admiring the scenery. I screwed around with my cockpit buttons, radio station and seat position. I decided I liked the windscreen reflection effect so left it on. I visited the police HQ. One of the female police operatives kept giving me the eye. I completed a few basic missions, shot a few skin jobs. I went off the grid for a bit, ignoring the missions, visiting a church, listened to a cyborg giving a sermon at the alter, admired the decor, cyber murals and stain glass. I went to a noodle bar, paid 3 credits for meal. I found a nightclub, paid 20 credits for an entry ticket, and saw about 100 gyrating bodies on the dance floor and suddenly got a flashback from the first Matrix film when Neo visits the club. Took a cocktail from the waitress who was doing circuits around the club. Found a place where I could buy my own apartment but didn't have enough credits (bummer). Found a game cartridge for the home game console (yep, I saw the recent patch updste dev). Decided to do another mission and visited a movie theatre to meet a contact while Metropolis was playing on the screen. In essence, what I'm trying to say here is that I think it's great what such a small team has achieved so far with all the little details. Is it perfect right now? Of course not, but I can see the huge potential and I'm intrigued to see what the team will add in the future. Show them some love, buy the game for it's modest price, make their lives a little easier so they can all quit their regular day jobs and focus on this (assuming that they're not already fully dedicated to this). More sales = more games updates and no, I don't earn commission or the know the team personally. One little suggestion to devs. I like all the different looking NPCs wandering around the streets with a fair amount of cosmetic variety. I think this may have been mentioned before but the ability to interact with some of them would be a nice touch. Also, I notice that they just walk through each other rather than avoid collisions. I know that with so many NPCs in some areas, this may be hard to execute. Maybe, some time in the future, NPC conversations can be handled with AI so they appear more natural and dynamic. Perhaps that's beyond mobile hardware capabilities at this stage. 🤔 I shall update my review at some point in the future as this game gradually develops and when I get the chance to dip in and out of the Metacity. 🫡

The reason i own a quest 3 is this game

Its not just a game. Its a whole experience that is drenched in so much careful attention to details. Day one when I popped into metacity for the first time I looked around and knew it was special. It was going to be special. And one day far in the future I would pop back into this game for nostalgia and it would be thick. I was at the beginning of an experience that no other experience come close to for me. I have dreamed of this world. Years before the tech was even available. You can go deep dive the police job and keep them streets safe, or you can simply contemplate life on the balcony of your purchased home smoking your analog vape with drink in hand. You become a sports legend. Dude there is an arcade. And video game systems inside your many purchaseable properties. Playing a game within a game and getting so immersed that when a synth walks by your window, you forgot you aren't really sitting in that room gaming. Cheetah print is an option for your gun. How bout that detail. And umbrellas are bullet proof. You get a sick flying car right off the bat. You can upgrade it. Its current final form is a beast of a car. It'll have duel guns on the sides for the amazing car chases you will find must be done to protect this city. This city is your world. Its beautifully made. It is a whole vibe. And cyberpunk is my kinda genre. I am forever grateful to norainu and Alioth third for creating this world for our world. A wonderful escape. A game with player choice. A story that I hang on for the next chapter of. I stand in awe of what has begun here. They never stop working on it. Every update has me more excited than a kid on Christmas morning that got everything they wanted. The A.I. art to me is perfect and the fact that its hated makes it work that much better in the game. In a dystopia the corpos are gonna cheap out and exploit A.I. out of pure greed. They will not be trying to be the good guy. They just want them credits. You'll find out what velocity ball is and become the best player Metacity has ever seen. Go get Ramen at the Ramen stand. Grab a cheeseburger and go play some arcade machines. Go train in a dojo with swords. Fly down to the streets and play basketball. You get to play sides. You wanna be bad? Be bad. You wanna be the best by the book cop you can be, free choice is yours. There is a train that runs through the whole city and they are hard at work on an update that allows you to ride the train. There is in game radio stations and you will get sour cake stuck in your head. This is a perfect game in what it wants to do. I don't know the entire vision, but it only gets league's better with each update. One is coming soon. I think about it daily. Im pretty sure I came to Earth to play this game. Its amazing. Its getting better all the time. Its cheap! And there is no better bang for that buck. I wish the developers much success. The discord community has been great. I love it there. Great game. The greatest even. And its their first game they ever made. YOU ARE CONSTANTLY KNOCKING IT OUT OF THE PARK, GUYS. Total fan. I havent even covered all you can do here. Warehouse shoot outs, bobble heads for your flying car dash, just so much fun little stuff. It all adds up to the best most amazing VR experience ive ever had. Eternally grateful for the experience. I've had plenty of deep thoughts just chilling in the zen garden at the dojo. Its chill and only as intense as you want it to be. Its real special what they got going on here.No regrets, support these two guys. They are worth it and i believe in what they are creating. Thanks again to the devi. You guys have made the world better by creating a world within that world that is safe to escape to. Its gonna go your way in Metacity. I don't know how anyone could come out of the headset and not be completely blown away by this whole deal. The price, the experiences you get to have. Top shelf all time favorite game.
