A few hours in... **UPDATED**

A few hours in... now.. just want to express something about some 5 star reviewers... they almost all got no followers and only been made for this game review. That being said, also if you want to contact the staff trough their email(website) and give some feedback it wont work.. the mail adress doesnt exist. Now i like the game for what it is and im gonna play it all for sure. But the dev's know this must be quest 3 updated! Otherwise its a bad look for Quest3 user who payed alot more money the see higher fidelity games. Even with ultra settings on Quest Game Optimizer it looks rough. Textures needs to be higher quality and the blurryness and the jagged edges needs to get smoothed out. ( there are tools for the dev's to do this easily ) *********** **UPDATE** *********** The Dev's kept their word and the update they put out blows my mind! This is absolutely the change it needed. Fully sharp vision with higher resolution! Better lighting and more creepy looking enemies. Packed with the awesome atmosphere and creepy vibes I cannot put this game down and have to see whats next everytime!! Great job !!!

The VR Horrors Persist, I’m Here For It

A longer review is pending, but initial impressions are extremely promising for this well-designed narrative horror first-person shooter. Memoreum is great VR title worth your time and money. Known for their impressive Return to Rapture (Bioshock) HL: Alyx mod, Patient 8 Games is a small but talented team that has been hard at work on this title for the past 4 years and it shows. The display and controls are intuitive and immersive, designed specifically for VR. This game is the closest yet to capturing the feeling of Dead Space (but told from a virtual perspective), players are no longer safe behind a screen on their couch, they are up-close-and-personal with all the horrors this game has to offer. Not content with being just another monster shooter, the narrative compels you to press on and uncover the mystery surrounding what happened. The game even has three endings and plays in around 10-15 hours. I cannot wait to see what this developer makes next (my personal hope is that they get the opportunity to bring the Bioshock series into VR), support this game, you won’t regret it!

Amazing space horror game

Whatever I say about this game is a bit much. I see an amazing combination of Half Life, Doom and Alien that tie together wonderfully in this game. Its atmosphere is unique. The terror in the corridors is unbelievable. The long duration and plot of the game captivate you. Five stars are not enough for this gem.

(UPDATED REVIEW!!!)

Originally I had written a fairly negative review paired with 3 stars because of a dissapointing first experience on launch day. Since then though the game has updated. Now the graphics look great and feel way more immersive and up to date with other quest 3 games. After re-trying the game with the new graphics and bugs update I realized the game genuinely is fantastic now! I’m a few hours in and I’m loving it. Although my first experience wasn’t great, the latest update smoothed out pretty much all the problems I originally had with it and now i see that the game is actually a really fun, scary and entertaining experience that is 100% worth a try.

Great indie game!

Just completed it. It took me 15 hours when the dev said it usually takes 10 hours. I must have been faffing about too much! Overall, it's a great game! The story is great. Gun combat is great, and there are like 5 boss fights that are done really well. The first one was a bit clunky, but the others were good. I liked the use of tools in the game as well, which really added to it. Also, it's really small detail I noticed and really easy for players to miss, and I don't want to spoil anything, but I really liked what you did with the girls eyes near the end. It's a small detail, but it adds to the immersion of vr. Nice touch! The only thing that let's the game down is the silly sounds the zombie make and what they say, like "I got you" or "give us a taste." It's hard to take it seriously. A lot of indie vr games have these silly sounds not just this game but we need something like the clickers from The Last of Us or something just a bit more serious and different then the usual silly sounds. Also, it's a small thing but I didn't like the font say on the 'nanocharge' and a lot of the posters looked like AI art, (not saying they are they just looked a bit off). But overall, it's a great indie game that is on par with the likes of 'The Living Remain', which I also enjoyed. I think a lot of the negative reviews are because people were expecting AAA because of the marketing and hype around it. It's not AAA. It's more AA, but it's one of the best AA VR games I have played sitting close with likes of 'The Living Remain'.
