Expensively Expensive

Making your app free just to have more downloads, while it's 100% paid, at least add new version without live courses, limited modes for one time purchase, $35 dollars a month is a lot especially for people outside US/UK/EU like me

Exactly what I want (but not there yet)

I went into this app fully intending to pay after the first two weeks free trial. Unlimited access to language teachers in shared classes for the price a month is great value vs normal in person classes. I want to love this app. It's exactly what I have been looking for. You are all in VR so it's easier to get over shyness, you can jump into classes instantly to save time on travel and you have more flexibility of when to learn. Most of the teachers seem to really be into the idea and try to make the classes fun. Shout out to Jose for always getting you to interact with the environment. However it doesn't quite reach the level of an in person class. 1. I don't think the teachers are all native speakers (however I could be wrong) 2. It's very American centric. Good luck finding lesson times at the level you want that suits you. I had to constantly jump around levels to find a class. (Should have been a clue when the prices are all in dollars, maybe this will change as it scales up). 3. It's pretty dead. Classes often had one other person in. (Again hopefully this can change with time) 4. Classes are mostly just interacting with other learners and barely with the teacher. Speaking practice is good but I often felt that it was a learner (who doesn't know the language) trying to correct a learner (who doesn't speak the language). I wish there was much more teacher interaction. 5. So you have found a teacher you like because it turns out they only teach every full moon and at 3 in the morning. It seems some levels have less classes. Maybe class times could rotate so not every day do the same level classes start at the same time. 6. I once had a teacher just disconnect half way through an activity and the class ended. Doesn't seem to be a fall back "sorry for the interruption your teacher is reconnecting". And yet I still want to love the app. I still want to connect and speak Spanish. I still want it to grow and the classes to be full. I'm still tempted to pay. There is nothing else like it and I truly hope it grows. It really could be the next evolution to language learning. As a disclaimer I did not interact with the AI part of the app. I am only interested in the live teachers.

Bad app, bad lessons, bad business

I was looking forward to this and could not wait to give it try but BOY was I DISAPPOINTED! The class was disorganized and in reality, there was only about 20 minutes of what might be considered a lesson. They have a lot to do to improve this to make it useful First of all the price is WAY out of line for such a limited class. Then they sent me a survey, I guess because they are not getting subscribers they expected, and promised $10.00 credit for filling out the survey. I filled it out and I AM STILL WAITING FOR THE PROMISED CREDIT. Clearly that was just a scam to get information as to why their app is failing. This is dishonest. For this reason, and for the poor quality and duration of their high priced “class” I would NOT recommend them and suggest you do NOT subscribe.

Starts to heavy in the learning language

I was trying this to learn Portuguese. Sadly this was difficult when the whole lesson is in Portuguese and I have to hit translate while it continues to talk in Portuguese. Rather than say " This is how you greet someone in Portuguese... etc " in my language it talks entirely in Portuguese and I can't change the settings. I rather it talked to me in English or whatever language you speak then asked you to repeat in the language you are learning.

Prices are too high

Like all platforms at the moment, the price should not be higher than 12 dollars a month and not 35, Many display languages are missing, for example mine, Italian.
