В Homeworld: Vast Reaches вы выступаете в роли Командующего флотом, управляя своими кораблями в ожесточенных сражениях в реальном времени против таинственного нового врага.

Погрузитесь в VR реальность, пройдя захватывающую кампанию для одного игрока и новые уровни-испытания, управляя своим флотом для атаки, защиты или захвата стратегических ресурсов, чтобы пополнить свой арсенал кораблей и одержать победу.

Действие игры разворачивается между событиями Homeworld 1 и Homeworld 2. Вы берёте на себя роль Тирры Собан, нового командующего флотом. Вашим наставником является Каран С'джет, легендарный герой войны за родной мир, пока оригинальный материнский корабль кушанов возвращается из строю, чтобы стать флагманом нового флота. Вместе Тирра и Каран противостоят новой угрозе — Радаа, двуличным межзвёздным торговцам, которые хотят заполучить ваше гиперпространственное ядро и которым всё равно, если они уничтожат ваш родной мир ради этого.

Amazing, amazing game.

Just wanted to say thanks to the developer and publisher of this game. I highly recommend it to all Homeworld fans. Homeworld was one of the first RTS games I ever played, years ago and Homeworld games, including Deserts of Kharaak are one of my favourite games ever. To play this in VR is dream come true to me. The visuals, audio, and the story are all authentic and so much fun. I would love to see a skirmish mode and DLC!!! I literally have to stop myself from playing the game just to save it for later.. Thank you!

Excellent - And true to the franchise!

How RTS should be done in VR

Enjoyed the original homeworld games, had mixed feelings buying this as often VR versions of games are very barebones, but on this occasion I’m very happy to be wrong. This exceeded my expectations, the plot is decent, the controls though complicated, are intuitive and they quickly felt natural. I’m only a few hours in but The missions and pacing are well balanced. In short it’s everything I expected from a homeworld game. It does feel a little strange seeing new ships hyperspace in rather than be built on the mothership but I can live with that. Only 2 concerns I do have is :- A: I can’t seem to move the mothership, I dislike not being able to choose my battlefield. B:I feel the devs need to add a skirmish mode to keep replay value after the main quest. I look forward to see where this game goes on the future.

True to form but crashes constantly

The game follows its roots, the adaptation to VR controls is amazing, and now it really feels you're the Mothership... Unfortunately, the game constantly crashes to a point where it induces nausea and even Horizon OS is completely unresponsive. Sometimes the only way to solve it is to force restart the headset. This would be less bad if there were checkpoints on levels as well, so you could quickly jump back in the action after a restart, but after investing 20m into a level and having to fully restart it is just demotivating 😴 There are also multiple reports here stating the same, and the fact there is no update to fix this is just annoying all together. Please get it together and issue an update.

Homeworld (Sortof) that crashes

Disappointed. I'm not sure whether the other reviewers have ever played a Homeworld game? This feels like a very heavily cut-down, uninspired entry to the Homeworld series. Gone are the detailed strategy ideas of 1 & 2, like selectable strike group formations, aggressiveness and defensive selections and the detailed strategic controls that the earlier entries had. Map sizes feel small, yet still incredibly sparse compared to the previous entries as gone are things like the beautiful clouds of dust and massive structures, and where moving the mothership could be part of your strategy, you can't move it at all in this one as it just sits there like a big fat sitting duck. No user unlockable tech-trees to enhance particular strategies. Gone are the lovely cinematics where newly constructed ships would deploy from the mothership construction bays, here they just teleport in where-ever the strike group happens to be. Even the textures and models seem poor, even compared to the original 2000's era games! Biggest issue I have is the frequent lockups, where the headset crashes with a fixed view; sometimes it comes back from the Occulus/Meta menu, but if in the middle of battle, tough, you just lost everything as they sit there. Maybe recommend as a cheap pickup if they fix the lockups.
