From the best to the worst.

I don’t know what happened or why but as of today the app started to not allow a ton of sites to no longer be compatible with this streaming service every time you press download on anything they’re just be a spinning circle and above that being circle you read that this side is no longer compatible or something of those words. I TRULY hope they fix this issue one day, I’m not sure if it’s an oculos policy thing or whatever I just wish it worked again.

Useless w/o internet connection. Why???

I used to watch movies while on a plane or a train. Simple, easy, convenient. Now, it requires an internet connection to run. Do I need internet to watch local files? Is there a drunk product owner driving this project?! Maybe I missed something. Now this app has just turned into some useless pile of bytes. Total rubbish. Deinstalled, bye bye... [EDIT after developer's response]: I'm using latest version 14.6.2949 and it still won't work without internet connection

Bad for creators. Bad for the community.

As a VR content creator on other platforms, I've been targeted with emails from DEOVR claiming their creators make $50k+ a year. I was skeptical and dismissed them, however, I've seen someone borrow thousands of dollars from their elderly parents to make content for DEOVR based on these emails, then they've been summarily demonetized with no explanation then completely ignored, being left humiliated and their parents thousands of dollars out of pocket. If you check the forums, you'll similar stories happening to other creators. Meanwhile DEOVR's low effort dancing girl content is allowed to remain monetized. They treat content creators as a something to be exploited, manipulated and then tossed aside when no longer useful. The community is far too small to get away with that.

meta account link broken

scammed for 15 dollars. i subscribed via the meta store and the app keeps asking me to link deovr account to meta account. i do that and it asks me to restart and log in. endless circle, premium doesn’t apply.. been trying for 2 hours tried creating a new account nothing works, i link, asked to restart app and login after “successfully linked” message and still no premium. i mist’ve tried linkind 50+ times at this point. how can this be so broken… at least warn people that the feature doesn’t work and advise them to buy premium directly from the website. this is very scummy.. later edit: after support asked if the issue persists, they went silent for over 24 hours. there’s no point in continuing this so i just requested and received a refund from Meta.

Mostly pointless

Mostly softcore porn for kids or countries where actual porn is forbidden. No way of hiding it. Well, you could filter by something like "Nature" to get rid of most of it. But that can't be combined with e.g. 8K. No filter for e.g. 360 degrees either. So largely, it's a huge library of 3D videos playing on a plane in front of you (no 180 or 360) and the porn. Also can't play 360 videos downloaded from YouTube.
