With this update you can use your drone from level 1. Collect power-ups and special weapons, like the BlackHole and the SuperNova, for your support drone and send your opponents into the depths of space.

Unexpectedly awesome

This is actually an awesome game. I don't really care for wave-shooters, but David is really enjoyable and addictive. I can't believe I had never heard of it--I've owned every Quest ever made and this gem must have been consigned to the old App Lab where nobody could find it. Look, I'm not exaggerating, this is a super-nice, highly polished title. You can tell the devs obsessed over it--from the "gallery" where you can view each ship (including salient info) to the top-notch soundtrack--it's shocking how a game this good floundered because of Meta's (now abandoned) policy of consigning such indie games to the App Lab. David is great and absolutely deserves your time. It looks beautiful (for a simple wave shooter) and the gameplay is shockingly awesome. Don't overlook this app, it's well worth your time, it's super fun, and is priced below what it should be.

Cool!

A nice space shooting game, and a pleasant surprise as I think this is one I will come back to quite regularly (few games have me doing this to date), when I just need to relax by shooting up a few waves of enemy space fighters and battleships! Interesting that the ship movements are controlled by the position of the hand controllers rather than the joystick on the controller… I like having a large and small fighter controlled simultaneously with my right and left arms (multitasking!) The simple narrative, that unfolds at your pace as you press the trigger, also provides a useful pause between waves too. Music is atmospheric as others have mentioned. I got this in the Summer Sale for £1.99 which I think is a real bargain. Good job developers!

Simply wow….

Why bother writing a review to just rehash what prior posters have said. Out of all the crap that’s on app lab, I found a game that is an experience…. I “was” impressed in the first 1 minute with the story, The first 5 missions were unique and fun Then I played the 2nd campaign. Holy F@&$)ng cow bells! Get this and then throw money at the devs so we can stick an I.V to their arms filled with energy drinks!

Galaga in VR

Amazing little game, can tell the small development team put a lot of love into it. Love the way it adds abilities as the plot progresses. The first set of missions are not indicative of where the game ends up. You start off using one controller to fly your ship in a 360 degree bullet hell wave shooter. Later levels will have you independently controlling two ships, directing attack squads, guiding missiles to sensitive targets with your head and slowing time to dodge between missiles. The progression is nice, you don't feel overwhelmed as it adds abilities.

Abandoned

The game is original but too difficult even at the normal level (which is my standard). When you get to the boss of the third level it becomes impossible because there is too much to pay attention to. So you are no longer having fun but you are grinding your teeth.
