Daedalus — платформер и игра-исследование в захватывающем онейрическом и сюрреалистическом мире.

Дедал, архитектор и создатель фантастических механических артефактов, был заточён царём Миносом, чтобы тот не мог поделиться своими знаниями о Критском лабиринте с другими. Каждую ночь во снах Дедал исследует запутанные лабиринты на борту собственных крылатых созданий, стараясь заново пережить каждый шаг, каждый прыжок, каждый полёт к свободе, пытаясь избежать своей трагедии.

Помогите ему найти 3 платформы, открывающие врата каждого уровня, и исследуйте таинственные миры, рождённые из сна. По мере прохождения уровней сложность возрастает, а архитектура становится всё более запутанной. Ускоряйтесь, парите, используйте воздушные потоки, батуты и активируйте механизмы, появляющие новые платформы у ваших ног, чтобы достичь цели. Сможет ли Дедал вырваться из собственной тюрьмы?

Even better on Quest

I loved the original game on GearVR and then Go and played through it many times, but this version has taken it to the next level. Everything looks so much clearer and more detailed (I suspect this version uses higher resolution textures and normal maps), and the proper 6dof tracking of the controler removes the tracking issues inherent in any 3dof game. I can now look around while gliding without it messing up my movement! Beautiful game, I'd recommend it to anyone. My only minor gripe is the slightly weird height calibration that kept popping up. It'd also be nice if I could completely disable rotation controls.

Do Vertical Robot’s Dream of Red Matter

As a casual puzzle game there’s not a lot here, but that is completely missing the point. In Daedalus the Vertical Robot’s team have provided 25 visually impressive yet simple puzzle maps and empowered the player with a wonderful flying mechanic that promotes a zen like experience. It’s difficult not to feel a sense of calm and wonder as a gentle breeze lifts you high above the play area revealing another beautifully crafted geometric landscape. You will complete the game without too much difficulty in two and half hours, but you’ll need to push much harder if you hope to beat the pre-registered speed run times on each of the 25 levels. Having recently completed both Red Matter and Red Matter 2 I was surprised a delighted to find so many visual, audio and mechanical echos from the Red Matter titles embedded into the DNA of Daedalus on the Quest 2. It would appear the creative seeds that would eventually spawn the Red Matter titles were already permeating the developers psyche during development of Daedalus. At $5 USD this VR flying puzzle experience is great value, charming and wonderfully immersive. The optional speed run components provide a fair amount of replayability, while I suspect many will return simply to spend more time soaring blissfully across the alien vistas. This game is crying out for a DLC map pack and I really hope ones forthcoming.

Where is the imprisoned Minotaur?

I'll be honest I only bought this game to support the developers because I liked red matter 2 so much. It's a simple puzzle game, fun, and it has a pleasant atmosphere. It reminds me of college and greek philosophy and contemplating the mysteries of the universe. How that effect is so strong just from gliding around in the game hopping along platforms I don't understand. Thanks again Vertical Robot. I can't wait to play your next game!

Beautiful

If you enjoy games like Portals and if you like beautiful graphics and visuals this game is for you. If you get motion sickness easily this may not be your thing. This is made by the same team who did Red Matter 1 and 2. They continue to make some of the most beautiful VR games I have ever played aside from Half Life Alyx.

Just WOW

I often find that the games that are the simplest are some of the best. This one is exactly that, truly amazing!! Gameplay is executed with a precision that makes this game totally addictive. Atmospheric and a delight to play. Not surprising really as it comes from the same developer that created the masterpieces that were red matter 1&2. My wishlist would include RM3 and and infinite amount of levels of this game. Devs, if you see this, please please please 🙏🤞
