Some potential , but not there yet

When I first got this game, I was unable to play it and left a review to that effect. Original review is below. The developer responded immediately with some standard advice about getting hand tracking to work. I had already tried all of their suggestions and I was still stuck at the opening screen with the message telling me to enable hand tracking. I noticed the game is designed to be played in a standing position. I had been trying to launch the game while sitting . So I tried again by standing , launching the app with my hand (no controllers), and holding my hands in front of my headset. This combination worked . I was in. As to the gameplay , it’s very one note. You punch space rocks. They don’t break apart like the original Asteroids game into smaller pieces to destroy. Just punch or karate chop and they disappear. A brief shower of pebbles might be better . You can also collect gems, but they don’t seem to have any purpose. If you don’t hit the rocks, they hit you in the head with no repercussions . How about a health meter that goes down ? A couple of things I like include the cool blue-star pattern on your hands and the way the rocks spin and bounce when you knock them into each other. Realistic. There just needs to be a lot more to this game, with more stuff to punch, more variety , maybe a goal to reach for each level. A funny alien craft shooting at you so you have to dodge it. No need to muck it up with a story or anything. Simple is good , but this game has a ways to go before it would bring you back to play another day. I do appreciate the developer’s quick response. I look forward to new features . I sure did love that old Atari Asteroids. Original Review: Unfortunately, I’m unable to play this game at all. Can’t get past a message saying hand tracking isn’t enabled. Well, it is. I double checked and am using it with other games. There also was no option that I could see to continue to play with the controllers instead.
